CM Bhajanlal Sharma on Education Budget Announcements — Emphasizes Quality School Construction, Accountability, and Strengthening Educational Facilities

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that students are the bright future of the nation, and their safety and education are the topmost priorities of the state government. He directed that school construction and repair works must strictly adhere to the highest quality standards. He also instructed the School Education Department to appoint an implementing agency to ensure accountability in these works.

On Monday, CM Sharma reviewed the budget announcements for the departments of School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education, and Sanskrit Education at the Chief Minister’s Office. He discussed measures to strengthen and expand educational facilities and services across government schools and colleges in rural hamlets as well as urban areas, and issued necessary directions.

The Chief Minister called for detailed reports on newly built institutions that have fallen into disrepair in recent years and ordered inquiries into their construction. He emphasized continuous monitoring of costs incurred on new constructions and repair works. He made it clear that accountability clauses for poor-quality work must be strictly included in all contracts.

Expansion of Infrastructure as per Student Strength
Sharma directed that 20% of funds permitted under the Dang, Magra, and Mewat Regional Development Plans be prioritized for repair works of educational buildings. He instructed officials to expand classrooms and facilities in line with student strength and to provide wheelchairs where a significant number of specially-abled students are enrolled.

Solar Power Plants in Schools and Colleges
The CM directed the preparation of an effective plan to install solar power plants on school and college buildings, which would meet their energy needs and strengthen infrastructure. He also instructed that dining halls in Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ Schools be developed as multipurpose facilities.

Promoting Social Participation in Education Infrastructure
Sharma urged that social participation be encouraged in school building construction and repair works. He directed coordination with philanthropists and eminent community members for planning such initiatives. He also reviewed the work plan for the upcoming Sports School in Khedli-Gurjar, Bharatpur, modeled on the Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala.

Corporate Certification Program and Foreign Language Training
The CM instructed the Higher Education Department to issue detailed guidelines for the Corporate Certification Program and ensure the regular availability of master trainers for sustained training. He also reviewed the establishment of Smart Classrooms and ICT labs in selected universities and colleges, stressing proper maintenance of equipment.

He further reviewed the management of certification courses under the Foreign Language Communication Skill Scheme, instructing that exams be conducted at training centers to ensure employability of successful trainees abroad. He also called for linking maximum aspirants with these courses to make them job-oriented.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa and Education Minister Madan Dilawar presented CM Sharma with the World Book of Records, London certificate for planting rare species under the “Hariyalo Rajasthan” initiative. Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant and senior officials from the concerned departments were also present.
