Eastern Railways Malda Division conducted Special Ticket Checking Drive on Train
Sept 2025 : Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager, Malda, Mr. Manish Kumar Gupta, and in a sustained effort to curb ticketless travel and safeguard railway revenue, Malda Division of Eastern Railway has undertaken various measures. As part of these efforts, under the supervision of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Miss Anjan, a Special Ticket Checking Drive was conducted today on on-board train.
The On-Board operation was led by Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM/TC) Mr. Tapas Kumar Biswas, alongwith ticket checking staff and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel. During the operation, 178 cases of ticket irregularities were detected, resulting in the realisation of Rs.80,475/- as penalty.
In addition, passengers were sensitised and informed about the facility of purchasing online digital tickets through the ‘UTS on Mobile’ App and ‘RailOne’ App.’ They were encouraged to adopt these user-friendly modes for ticket booking to avoid long queues and to promote a hassle-free and eco-friendly travel experience.
Malda Division appeals to all passengers to travel with proper and valid tickets to avoid inconvenience and penalties. The division remains committed to ensuring passenger convenience, revenue protection, and a smooth travel experience through regular intensive drives and public awareness initiatives.
