Chitrakoot is A Unique Blend of Sanatan Culture and Human Civilization: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Lord Shri Ram spent his exile in Chitrakoot, a place where a unique blend of human civilization and Indian Sanatan culture can be observed. The exploration of establishing a Geo Park on this sacred land has begun, which is expected to create employment and development opportunities, thereby promoting social and economic growth in the area. Dr. Yadav was inaugurating a three-day workshop for the potential establishment of a UNESCO Global Geo Park in Chitrakoot, held on Thursday at the Vivekananda Auditorium in the Udyamita Parisar.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav acknowledged UNESCO’s efforts to explore the possibility of establishing Geo Parks in 195 countries, expressing gratitude to UNESCO representatives for considering Chitrakoot’s sacred land for this initiative. He highlighted Bharat Ratna Nanaji Deshmukh’s role in igniting the spirit of self-reliance in the region, which is one of the most underdeveloped areas. The Pragati Deendayal Research Institute has made significant contributions to social and economic development, as well as in employment, animal husbandry, and agriculture. Dr. Yadav emphasized that Chitrakoot is unique in the state, with the potential to realize all possibilities. He stated that establishing a Geo Park in Chitrakoot would protect the area’s ancient heritage and priceless Indian culture. During the event, Dr. Yadav also released a booklet about the Chitrakoot UNESCO Geo Park initiative.

On this occasion, the representative of UNESCO, while apprising about the purpose of establishing the Geo Park, said that there is a need to preserve our natural wealth. The objective of Geo Park is to explore its geological and cultural heritage and make it more effective. There is no Geo Park in India yet.
