CM Patel Presents City Civic Centers to 31 Municipalities
Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated 32 City Civic Centers at Balasinor in Mahisagar district, aimed at improving access to municipal services for residents in urban areas. These centers are designed as comprehensive hubs, providing a range of citizen-centric services from a single location and enhancing overall Ease of Living. The City Civic Centers will function as one-stop shops, offering streamlined access to municipal-related online services and simplifying the process for addressing citizen issues.
Launched in the 2022-23 year under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, the initiative began with 22 municipalities. In the 2023-24 year, the second phase has seen 66 additional centers sanctioned, with the Gujarat Urban Development Corporation overseeing their development at an estimated cost of ₹93.76 crore. From Balasinor, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has inaugurated the establishment of 31 new City Civic Centers, constructed at a total cost of ₹44.05 crore.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the newly constructed City Civic Centers, with ceremonies held at 31 locations across the state attended by members of the State Cabinet, MLAs, and various office bearers. During the inauguration, the Chief Minister unveiled the plaque for the City Civic Center, toured the new facilities, and inspected the provided amenities. He also distributed forms and certificates to the applicants. These City Civic Centers, reflecting the State Government’s dedication to enhancing urban welfare, handle a range of services including property tax, hall bookings, tax assessments, marriage registrations, business tax and registration, birth and death records, notary licenses, and more. In this second phase, 31 new City Civic Centers have been launched in municipalities such as Balasinore, Patdi, Kapadvanj, Botad, Thasra, Jetpur, Gondal, Sikka, Okha, Patan, Siddhpur, Unja, Dhanera, Mansa, Shehra, Halol, Anand, Petlad, Santarampur, Jhalod, Dharampur, Jambusar, Bardoli, Bilimora, Songadh, Mahuva, Kodinar, Visavadar, Babra, Palitana, and Mangrol.
On this occasion, District Panchayat President Shri Babubhai Patel, Panchmahal MP Shri Rajpalsinh Jadav, Balasinore MLA Shri Mansinh Chauhan, Leader Shri Pappubhai Pathak, Mahisagar District BJP President Shri Dashrath Baria, Balasinore Taluka Panchayat President Smt. Savitaben Chauhan, Commissioner of Municipal Administration Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, Regional Municipal Director Shri S.P. Bhagora, District Collector Smt. Neha Kumari and District Development Officer Shri Chandrakant Patel remained present.
