CM Conducts High-Level Review of Law and Order — Orders Special Campaign Against Gangsters and Strict Action Against Criminals
Jaipur, Oct 2025 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government is committed to maintaining a strong law and order system in Rajasthan. He directed officials to take the strictest possible action against those involved in the murder of businessman Ramesh Rulaniya in Kuchaman.
Chairing a high-level review meeting on the state’s law and order situation at the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday, Mr. Sharma instructed police officials to launch a special campaign against gangsters, particularly in view of the upcoming festive season. He emphasized that police must act firmly and without leniency against all criminals.
Increase the Number of CCTV Cameras
The Chief Minister issued special instructions to install CCTV cameras on roads connecting neighboring states. He also directed that government buildings must have CCTV cameras, and that a plan be formulated to use cameras installed in private buildings for crime control. Mr. Sharma further stressed the need for regular maintenance of CCTV systems to ensure their effectiveness.
He instructed officials to deploy adequate police personnel at public places, tourist spots, and crowded areas, and to conduct frequent checks of hotels, inns, and dharamshalas to identify suspicious persons in time. The Chief Minister also directed that the online visitor record system currently used in Jaipur hotels be implemented across the state. He assured that the police department would be provided with adequate human resources.
Tight Vigil on Cybercrime
Mr. Sharma directed banks to immediately inform the police of any suspicious transactions and asked for an effective plan to curb cybercrimes. He also called for intensive monitoring of social media, emphasizing that misleading, offensive, or rumor-spreading content should be dealt with strictly.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Bhaskar Atmaram Sawant, Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma, and other senior police officers.
