Meghalaya Assembly’s Estimates Committee Visits Rajasthan Legislative Assembly
Jaipur, Oct 2025: The Estimates Committee of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly undertook a study visit to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. During the visit, the committee members toured the Assembly premises, observed the functioning of the House, and also visited the Digital Museum located within the complex.
The members were briefed in detail about the innovations, digital initiatives, transparency measures, and modern practices introduced in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly under the leadership of Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani.
The visiting committee from Meghalaya included Shri Mayral Born Syiem, Smt. Miani D. Shira, Shri Remington G. Momin, Shri Damanbait Lamare, and Shri Gabriel Wahlang. The members appreciated the innovations implemented in the Rajasthan Assembly, describing them as an inspiration for other legislative bodies across the country.
A joint meeting was held between the Meghalaya committee and the accompanying committee of the Rajasthan Assembly, chaired by Shri Arjun Lal Jingar, with members Shri Manoj Nyangli, Shri Amit Chachan, Shri Subhash Garg, Shri Pabbaram, Shri Pratap Singhvi, Shri Shanti Dhariwal, Shri Arun Chaudhary, Shri Gurveer Singh, Shri Samaram, Shri Chhotu Singh, and Shri Babusingh Rathore.
The members of the Meghalaya Committee were warmly welcomed and presented with literature on the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Present on the occasion were Deputy Secretary Smt. Indira Sharma, Assistant Secretary Shri Atul Kumar Pandya, and Section Officer Shri Hemraj Khateek.
