Rajeevika and Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3) Sign MoU — A Significant Step Toward Strengthening Gender Integration and Empowering Rural Women in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Oct 2025 : A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Thursday between the Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (Rajeevika) and the Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3). The purpose of this partnership is to strengthen gender integration and reinforce institutional mechanisms under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY–NRLM) in Rajasthan.
The MoU was signed at Rajeevika’s State Office in Jaipur by Mrs. Neha Giri, State Mission Director, Rajeevika, and Dr. Aparajita Gogoi, Executive Director, C3. On this occasion, Mrs. Preeti Singh, Project Director (Administration), Rajeevika, and Mrs. Meena Neeru Tulsiram, State Project Manager (SISD), along with senior officials from both institutions, were present.
Under this partnership, C3 will provide technical and institutional support to Rajeevika for operating Gender Resource Centres at the block level. These centres will function as dedicated hubs for capacity building on gender issues, case management, and convergence with departments such as Women and Child Development, Police, and Panchayati Raj.
Key Objectives of the Partnership:
- To strengthen gender integration within Rajeevika’s institutional structure.
- To develop Gender Action Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for effective implementation.
- To empower members of Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and community institutions to address gender discrimination, women’s rights, and integrate gender priorities in livelihood and governance systems.
More than 50,000 Self-Help Groups across Rajasthan are expected to benefit from this initiative. The program will include gender sensitivity training, leadership development, and awareness programs for women. It will also create a gender-responsive environment for women entrepreneurs and grassroots women leaders.
On this occasion, Mrs. Neha Giri, State Mission Director, Rajeevika, stated:
“This collaboration further strengthens Rajeevika’s commitment to building inclusive and equitable rural institutions where women lead with dignity and confidence.”
The partnership between Rajeevika and C3 marks an important step towards advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in Rajasthan, ensuring that every woman gains access to a safe environment, legal awareness, and development opportunities.
