AAP, BJP Release Lists of Star Campaigners for Bihar Assembly Elections

Patna, Oct 2025 : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday announced a list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, featuring national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann among the party’s top faces.

The list also includes senior leaders Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Satyendar Jain, and Sandeep Pathak. Other prominent names featured are Atishi, former Delhi Chief Minister; Saurabh Bhardwaj, Delhi party president; Aman Arora, Punjab minister and state president; and former Delhi ministers Gopal Rai and Imran Hussain.

Earlier in the day, AAP released its fourth list of 12 candidates for the Bihar polls. With this, the party has now announced candidates for 132 of the 243 assembly seats. The newly announced candidates include Kumar Kunal from Madhuban, Brij Bhushan (Naveen) from Supaul, and Anil Kumar from Gaya Town, among others.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also unveiled its own list of 40 star campaigners, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda.

The BJP’s campaign lineup also features several Union ministers, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh.

In addition to top Union leaders, the BJP list includes five chief ministers: Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh), Himanta Biswa Sarma (Assam), Rekha Gupta (Delhi), Mohan Yadav (Madhya Pradesh), and Devendra Fadnavis (Maharashtra).

Notably, several veteran leaders who have recently been out of the political limelight also feature in the BJP’s star campaigner list. Among them are former Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Radha Mohan Singh, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, and Ashwini Kumar Choubey. Their inclusion signals the party’s intent to mobilize experienced campaigners and reconnect with traditional voter bases.

Polling for all 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar will be conducted in two phases, on November 6 and 11, while the counting of votes will take place on November 14.
