“I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar” Phase II Launched at Haulawng, Lunglei District

Lunglei, Oct 2025: The second phase of the “I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar” (Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore) initiative was launched today at Hausiampa Hall, Haulawng, Lunglei District, marking the continuation of the district-wide outreach programme aimed at bringing various government services closer to the people. The event was organised under the initiative of the Lunglei District Deputy Commissioner’s Office.

The first phase of “I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar” was conducted between 14 January and 14 May 2025 across six villages — Haulawng, Ralvawng, Bunghmun, Tlabung, Lungsen and Bualte — where multiple government departments provided on-the-spot services to the public. A total of 5,082 beneficiaries availed services during the first phase. The newly launched second phase will continue in Lungsen, Bunghmun and Tlabung in the coming weeks.

Speaking at the launch event, Lunglei Sub-Deputy Commissioner Pi Lalnunchhanni Hnamte highlighted that “I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar” aims to ensure that government services reach citizens efficiently without requiring them to travel long distances to district headquarters. She urged residents to take full advantage of the initiative.

Haulawng VCP Pu Lalsangzuala Chhangte expressed appreciation towards the District Administration and participating departments for bringing essential services to the doorstep of the people.

During today’s programme, various government departments and agencies — including the DC Office, District Civil Supply Office, Social Welfare, Health & Family Welfare, AH & Veterinary, Horticulture, BDO Lunglei and Mizoram Rural Bank (MRB) — set up service stalls for the public.

Services provided included Aadhaar enrolment and correction, ration card and Aadhaar linkage, opening of new bank accounts, and registration under various government schemes. Additionally, grievance redressal and on-the-spot assistance were offered to citizens.
