Nation Expresses Gratitude to Sardar Patel Through ‘Sardar@150 Unity March’

Jaipur, Oct 2025 : To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a grand Unity March will be flagged off from Gandhi Circle, Jaipur, at 6 a.m. on October 31. The march will proceed from Gandhi Circle to Birla Mandir, Rambagh, Ambedkar Circle, and culminate at Amar Jawan Jyoti.

The march will witness participation from dignitaries, students from various educational institutions, NSS and NCC cadets, youth leaders, police personnel, RAC, Home Guards, employee unions, NGOs, government officials, and a large number of citizens.

The nationwide Sardar@150 Unity March campaign, launched on October 6, will continue for two months and conclude on December 6. The campaign aims to ensure full public participation and inspire citizens—especially the youth—to learn about Sardar Patel’s legacy, express collective gratitude, and strengthen the spirit of national unity and service to the nation.

From October 31 to November 25, district-level Padyatras will be organized across the country. On November 26, a 150-km-long Padyatra will begin from Sardar Patel’s birthplace, Karamsad, and culminate at Ekta Nagar (Statue of Unity) on December 6, marking the end of the campaign.

This initiative is an important step toward realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat (Developed and Self-Reliant India). Citizens are being encouraged to participate through marches, competitions, and other events.

The Unity March is a nationwide initiative celebrating Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s immense contribution to the unification of India as part of the Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat mission. To engage the youth, several events such as the Sardar@150 Young Leaders Quiz, Sardar@150 Reel Competition, and Sardar@150 Essay Competition are being held.

Alongside the marches, various developmental activities will also take place in districts, including cleanliness drives at water bodies, tree plantation under the Sardar Upvan initiative, women’s welfare camps, yoga and health camps, and the Vocal for Local campaign. These activities aim to foster community participation, celebrate local innovation, and channel youth energy toward nation-building.
