Felicitation Ceremony for Chief Minister and Education Ministers by ABRSM and MSSM, Held at Dabhoda Village
Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel remarked that only teachers have the power to elevate the state’s most remote villages to its leading ones. He was addressing the felicitation ceremony for the Chief Minister and Education Ministers, organized by Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh and Mukhya Shikshak Shaikshik Mahasangh of Gujarat, held today in Dabhoda Village.
At the felicitation ceremony, the Chief Minister conveyed his wishes for the sacred month of Shravan, which began today, to all the principals from across the state. He praised the exceptional work of teachers, noting that their noble efforts have significantly reduced the dropout rate statewide. He highlighted that students from remote villages are bringing pride to their communities in sports and other fields at both national and state levels, attributing this success to the teachers. The Chief Minister remarked that only teachers can turn stones into gems and emphasized their dedication by pointing out that teachers personally visit students’ homes if they miss school, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to education. Teachers lay the groundwork for a bright future by guiding children on the right path. The Chief Minister noted that society holds teachers in high regard and emphasized that teachers must continue to advance the light of education to honor this respect. He urged for collective efforts to realize the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 and build a promising future for the children of the state.
Education Minister Dr. Kuber Dindor acknowledged that although not all concerns of educators have been resolved, a new beginning has been made. He emphasized that the Union operates with the guiding principles of “Rashtra Ke Hit Mein Shiksha, Shiksha Ke Hit Mein Shikshak, Shikshak Ke Hit Mein Samay” (Education for the Nation’s Welfare, Teachers for the Advancement of Education, and Time for the Well-being of Teachers). This approach has significantly contributed to the global recognition and respect for teachers. The government has introduced regulations to address the long-standing issues faced by HTAT principals, recognizing the efforts of teachers who inspire the nation’s spirit and guide society in new directions. These regulations have brought joy to principals across the state. Additionally, it was emphasized that efforts to improve school and classroom environments must continue without any regression.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Education Shri Praful Pansheriya emphasized that teachers are instrumental in shaping society and human life. He noted that the state government’s decision in favor of the principals will invigorate their commitment to educational excellence. Shri Pansheriya highlighted that the enduring reverence for knowledge in Indian culture is the same culture that has persisted over time. He emphasized that principals must steer the light of education in new directions to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Additionally, he mentioned that while education in Gujarat is supported by 350 smart classes, efforts are underway to provide children in remote villages with access to computer labs, with around 15,000 computer labs being established across the state.
During the event, Shri Bhikhabhai Patel, President of the Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. He highlighted that a significant issue concerning HTAT principals has been effectively addressed by the current government. He noted that there are no remaining issues for the federation and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Education Minister Dr. Kuber Dindor, and Minister of State for Education Shri Praful Pansheria for their support. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Shri Dr. Haresh Rajyaguru, General Secretary of the HTAT Teacher Association.
