Sardar Patel’s Vision, Unwavering Patriotism, and Strong Leadership United India as One Nation: Minister Sandeep Singh

“Sardar Patel’s ideals continue to inspire the spirit of unity in India”

Lucknow, Nov 2023 : Uttar Pradesh’s Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh on Thursday said that it was due to the foresight, unwavering patriotism, and firm leadership of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, that today India stands strong as a united and indivisible nation.

Addressing a gathering during the ‘Ekta Yatra’ (Unity March) at Pali Mukimpur Chauraha in Atrauli Assembly constituency of Aligarh district, Singh said that Sardar Patel not only integrated 562 princely states but also “united the hearts of millions of Indians,” ensuring the country’s unity and territorial integrity.

He emphasized, “Sardar Patel’s thoughts give India the strength to remain united, and we are progressing rapidly in that direction.”

The minister remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi immortalized Sardar Patel’s greatness by building the Statue of Unity, which has reaffirmed India’s unwavering commitment to unity before the entire world. “The statue stands as a symbol of India’s indomitable spirit and integrity,” he said.

Launching a scathing attack on previous governments, Singh said, “Earlier governments forgot Sardar Patel. It is only under the double-engine government that national icons like him have received the true respect they deserve.”

Referring to Sardar Patel’s words — ‘If India remains divided, our freedom will remain incomplete’ — the minister said this is not merely a historical statement but a reminder to every Indian that national unity is the very soul of our independence.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from public representatives, teachers, students, and local citizens. The atmosphere was filled with patriotism as slogans of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India) and ‘Sardar Patel Amar Rahein’ (Long Live Sardar Patel) echoed throughout the route.

The unity march began from Badhoul village and concluded at Pali Mukimpur Chauraha, ending with the National Anthem and chants of ‘Vande Mataram’.

Concluding his address, Minister Singh called upon the youth to imbibe Sardar Patel’s ideals and dedicate themselves to India’s unity, integrity, and development. “We must rise above our differences and bind ourselves in a single thread of nationalism,” he urged. “Sardar Patel’s thoughts, in the truest sense, give India the power to stay united.”
