The State Government is Working with Full Commitment to Fulfil the Dreams of the People: Chief Minister Sai
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the “Chhattisgarh: 25 Years of Excellence” programme held today in the capital Raipur. On this occasion, he spoke in detail about the state’s remarkable 25-year-long journey of development and said that every citizen has played a vital role in Chhattisgarh’s progress. The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is fully committed to realising the dreams of the people.
Chief Minister Sai said that the double-engine government has taken decisive steps to eliminate Naxalism, which had hindered development in Bastar as well as other parts of the state. With the establishment of security camps, development has now reached even remote and inaccessible areas. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, significant efforts have been made, and Naxalism is now nearing its end. Bastar, he said, is returning to its original, fear-free identity and will contribute more effectively to the state’s development. The Chief Minister noted that events like the Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum have showcased Bastar’s culture and talent to the world. A new era of peace, prosperity, and progress has begun in the region.
The Chief Minister said that the government’s policy of zero tolerance toward corruption is being implemented with full firmness. He stated that strong action has been taken against past irregularities and corruption, and the results are visible to all. He recalled that the government led by former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh had taken effective steps to eliminate the curse of hunger by providing food grains to poor families. Today, he added, the government is ensuring housing for families in need. The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working to fulfil the vision of good governance envisioned by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He further stated that almost all of Prime Minister Modi’s guarantees have been fulfilled. The important ‘Charan Paduka Yojana’ for tendu leaf collectors has also been reinstated.
Highlighting the attractive provisions of the new industrial policy, the Chief Minister said that investment in the state is steadily increasing. The government has so far received investment proposals worth more than ₹7.75 lakh crore, which will accelerate employment generation and industrial growth in the coming years.
During the event, the Chief Minister also felicitated various institutions and individuals for their contributions to the state’s development. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Chief Minister’s Advisor Pankaj Jha, the Chief Minister’s Press Officer Alok Singh, along with a large number of intellectuals and distinguished citizens, were present on the occasion.
