Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana Visits Govt. Khawzawl College, Govt. Khawzawl HSS, and District Education Office, Khawzawl

Khawzawl, Nov 2025: Education Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana visited Govt. Khawzawl College, Govt. Khawzawl Higher Secondary School, and the District Education Office, Khawzawl today.

At Govt. Khawzawl College, the Minister held an interaction with Principal Lalruatmawii and the faculty members. The Principal briefed the Minister and his team about developments at the college, its achievements, and advancements. She also spoke about the establishment of a Training Centre under the PM Vishwakarma scheme and shared the institution’s needs and challenges.

Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana expressed happiness at being able to meet the college administration in person. He praised the college for its high pass percentage and commendable performance. He encouraged the students to become responsible and proactive, and urged teachers to guide students in choosing meaningful pathways and developing real-life skills. He also highlighted new initiatives and ongoing work under the Higher & Technical Education Department, emphasizing his commitment to supporting the needs and addressing the challenges faced by the institutions.

The Minister then visited Govt. Khawzawl Higher Secondary School, where he interacted with students and teachers. Stressing the importance of mental health among students, he urged teachers to remain attentive and provide support to students who may be at risk of mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.

After this, he visited the District Education Office, Khawzawl, and held an interaction with officers and staff. He assured them that their needs would be understood and addressed as far as possible.

The Minister was accompanied during the visit by Khawzawl Deputy Commissioner K. Vanlalthiana, Education Additional Director Zohmingthanga, and Samagra Shiksha State Project Director C. Lalthanzira.
