Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Attends Shrimad Bhagwat Katha
Pays Tribute to Sadhvi Ritambhara Ji for Her Austerity, Sacrifice and Service to the Nation
New Delhi, Nov 2025 : Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta today attended the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha held at the MTNL Ground in Yamuna Vihar. On this occasion, she listened to the divine discourse of the revered Sadhvi Ritambhara Ji. Describing the experience as highly auspicious, the Chief Minister said that Sadhvi Ji’s penance, spiritual practice, and dedication to the nation serve as an inspiration for society. She congratulated all members of the organising committee for a successful event and said that listening to the Katha in the presence of Sadhvi Ji is a profoundly sacred experience for any individual. The programme was attended by MLA Ajay Mahawar and several other dignitaries.

The Chief Minister noted that Sadhvi Ritambhara Ji, through her boundless courage and eloquent speech, gave new direction to the Ram Mandir movement. By conducting extensive awareness campaigns, she connected millions of people with the ideals of Lord Ram and made a historic contribution to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. She further stated that Sadhvi Ji receiving the ‘Padma Shri’ award is a matter of pride for the entire nation. It recognises her sacrifice, penance, social service, and maternal spirit at a national level. She added that Sadhvi Ji has nurtured thousands of children, performed the ‘Kanyadaan’ of many girls, and provided shelter to countless cows, thereby extraordinarily guiding society.
Highlighting the significance of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, the Chief Minister said that the Katha conveys values that provide stability to families and strengthen peace, love, and unity in society. It teaches that devotion to duty and discipline form the true foundation of a meaningful life. She observed that listening to the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha plays an important role in enhancing spiritual strength, spreading positivity, and establishing peace in an individual’s life. She extended her best wishes for the well-being of all devotees.
