Lunglei DRA Inspects Non-Governmental Clinical Establishments

Lunglei, Dec 2025: Today, the District Registering Authority (DRA) inspection team conducted inspections of non-governmental clinical establishments in Lunglei District to ensure proper registration and compliance.

The inspection team included DRA members: Senior Medical Superintendent Dr. Laldinmawii, Deputy CMO Dr. Christina Zonunmawii, SDC Pi Lalnunchhani Hnamte, DSP (Hqrs) Pi C. Ramnunmawii, and staff from the Clinical Establishment department. During the visit, Faith Hospital and Research Centre, John Williams Hospital, Faith Hospital, Hope Hospital, Christian Hospital Serkawn, and Emmanuel Polyclinic were inspected. This year, the inspection program was conducted in a phased manner.

The inspection team checked whether the hospitals and clinics were complying with the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010, and the Mizoram Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Rules, 2014. They also verified proper display of mandatory signage, adherence to the Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, and other necessary protocols. The hospitals and clinic staff were guided on maintaining proper documentation, improving patient care, and ensuring that treatments and services are conducted safely and ethically.

Under the Clinical Establishments Act, Lunglei District currently has 44 private establishments and 15 government establishments registered.
