Chief Minister Attends “Together for Humanity” Friendship Dinner at Institute of Chin Affairs (ICA)
Aizawl, Dec 2025 : The Chief Minister, Mr. Lalduhoma, attended the “Together for Humanity” Friendship Dinner organized by the Institute of Chin Affairs (ICA) at the Aijal Club today.
The event was marked by warmth and cordiality. In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the ICA’s efforts in fostering goodwill among Chin communities across various regions. He urged the Chin community to continue strengthening bonds and expressed that such friendship dinners are excellent platforms for mutual understanding and cooperation.
Mr. Lalduhoma reflected on the strong connection between the Zofa community of Mizoram and Jerusalem, Myanmar, emphasizing the ongoing collaboration and support received from NGOs and the Mizoram government. He stressed that while external help is valuable, the community’s own initiative and determination are crucial for sustainable development and social harmony.
During the event, he also mentioned that cultural and educational initiatives should be expanded to enhance awareness and foster stronger ties within the Chin State. Such interactions help reduce misunderstandings and cultivate respect among communities. The dinner was thus a meaningful gathering that reinforced friendship and collaboration.
Health Minister Ms. Lalrinpuii spoke about the importance of health initiatives and how they can be strengthened with community participation. Prof. Lalnilawma, Minister of Public Health Engineering, also addressed the gathering.
The event was facilitated by Dr. B. Lalzarliana, while Mr. Salai Van Sui San, Information Officer of ICA, highlighted the institute’s activities and achievements. Members of the ICA shared their experiences in promoting education and welfare among people from the Chin Hills, emphasizing the importance of knowledge-sharing and cultural exchange.
Mr. Salai Za Lian Pum expressed his appreciation, noting that the gathering was a valuable and meaningful occasion to reinforce unity and mutual respect.
