Education Is the Foundation of Social Development: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur, December 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that education is the real foundation of social development. Whether it is the art of living, business, agriculture, or any other field, education is the first step toward success in every sphere of life. He made these remarks while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the Chhattisgarh State Sarva Ravidas Society at the Krishak Sabhagar of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in the capital Raipur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister administered the oath of office to all newly elected office-bearers and congratulated them.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has been consistently working to improve the standard of education since its formation. At the time of the state’s creation, there was only one medical college, whereas today nearly 15 medical colleges are functioning in the state. Similarly, the establishment of prestigious national and international institutions such as IIT, IIIT, IIM, Law University, AIIMS and CIPET in Chhattisgarh has created major opportunities for local youth.
Highlighting the importance of social unity, Chief Minister Sai said that a strong and organised society is the need of the hour, as only an organised society can play a decisive role in nation-building. Referring to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guiding mantra — “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” — he said that the state government has been working for the welfare of all sections of society in line with this vision for the past 23 months.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has taken several important steps in recent months, including the Krushak Unnati Yojana for farmers, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to provide permanent housing to every family, the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to ensure financial security for mothers and sisters, and rationalisation of teachers to ensure the availability of educators even in remote areas.
He further informed that more than 10,000 appointment letters have been issued to youth in various departments so far. The recruitment examinations conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission have been carried out with complete transparency, restoring confidence among the youth. Keeping in view the present economic scenario, the state government has also implemented a new industrial policy to create more opportunities for employment and self-employment for local people.
Chief Minister Sai urged members of the society to take maximum benefit of government welfare schemes and bring positive changes in their lives.
The programme was also addressed by Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Leather Artisans Development Board, Shri Dhruv Kumar Mirdha, who congratulated the newly elected office-bearers.
On the occasion, State President of Sarva Ravidas Society Chhattisgarh Shri Vijay Mehra, Raipur Division Commissioner Shri Mahadev Kanwre, Shri Dilip Vasnikar, along with a large number of public representatives and distinguished citizens, were present.
