Session on NRR Contribution at Rajasthani Diaspora Day – Rajasthan Leading in All Key Investment & Industry Dimensions

Jaipur, December 2025 : Union Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that for industry establishment, land, energy, water, raw material, and peaceful & secure environment are five essential pillars, and a strong position on all these dimensions is developing Rajasthan as an investment destination. He said that due to affordable and adequate land availability, national leadership in renewable energy production, strengthened water supply infrastructure, safe environment, and strong road & transport system, Rajasthan is emerging as the most attractive investment destination in the near future.

Shri Shekhawat was addressing the sectoral session organized on the occasion of Rajasthani Diaspora Day, regarding potential contributions of Rajasthan chapters to the state’s social and economic development over the next year. He stated that Rajasthan provides a highly favorable position for investors compared to other states in terms of affordable land availability. The state is continuously progressing in the energy sector, ranking first in renewable and wind energy, ensuring adequate energy supply for industries.

Negligible likelihood of water crisis in the state

He said that to ensure sufficient water availability, the state government is rapidly implementing projects such as the Ramjalseetu Link Project and Yamuna Water Agreement. These efforts will prevent any water crisis in Rajasthan in the future. He described the state’s peaceful social structure, strong law & order, excellent road network, and expanding industrial infrastructure as key strengths providing investors a safe, permanent, and reliable environment. Shri Shekhawat called on diaspora Rajasthanis from India and abroad to contribute to the long-term development of the state in the vision of Developed Rajasthan 2047. He highlighted immense investment and innovation potential in tourism, culture, folk festivals, handicrafts, religious events, and historical heritage. He thanked diaspora Rajasthanis for promoting Rajasthan’s culture, traditions, and folk festivals internationally, acting as ambassadors of India. He expressed pleasure over Diwali being included in UNESCO’s Intangible Heritage List, calling it a proud achievement for India’s cultural identity.

Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that Rajasthani Diaspora Day is not only a celebration of shared heritage but also an open platform for exchange of ideas, sharing experiences, and strengthening Rajasthan’s future. He assured that solving every problem of diaspora Rajasthanis is the responsibility of the state government.

Shri Sharma said that keeping the community’s needs in mind, the National & International Rajasthani Affairs Department has been formed. Officers in all districts are designated as nodal points for diaspora support. A dashboard for NRR has also been created, identifying gap areas across the state to enable diaspora Rajasthanis to actively participate in motherland’s development. He appealed to diaspora brothers and sisters to come forward as Bhamashahs (contributors) in all sectors. The state government will fully support them in this effort.

Shri Sharma expressed gratitude to PM Shri Narendra Modi, noting that under his guidance, the government successfully organized the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit last year. During the summit, respecting the sentiment of diaspora Rajasthanis, the government decided to celebrate Rajasthani Diaspora Day every 10 December annually.

Shri Sharma said that the government is working with the PM’s “Vikas Bhi – Virasat Bhi” vision. He highlighted the heritage of Shekhawati havelis, which the government has identified for preservation. Similarly, all regions of the state hold enormous spiritual tourism potential, and tourism facilities are being developed at all religious sites. With diaspora support, the dream of Developed Rajasthan will be realized in the near future.

Industry & Commerce Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore said that over the past two years, Rajasthan has implemented effective reforms in ease of doing business. Through better service delivery, transparent administration, and quick decision-making, the state provides a favorable environment for investors. Land allocation processes have been streamlined, and the government considers diaspora Rajasthanis as development partners, working with them toward developed Rajasthan.

Law & Legal Affairs Minister Shri Jogaram Patel said that under CM Shri Bhajanlal Sharma’s leadership, the state government is committed to comprehensive development. Policies are being revised and new policies implemented, creating a capable environment for industry and investment.

State Minister of Civil Aviation (Independent Charge) Shri Gautam Kumar Dak said that the government is continuously working on development and expansion of airports. New flying training schools are being established, providing youth with training and employment opportunities in aviation, enabling Rajasthan to advance rapidly and modernly in this sector.

Launch of NRR Policy-2025 & Rajasthan Development Support Portal

During the event, the special NRR Policy-2025 and Rajasthan Development Support Portal for diaspora Rajasthanis were launched. This digital platform provides diaspora Rajasthanis worldwide a direct and empowered medium to participate in state development projects.

In the session, domestic & international chapter panel discussions included 11 panelists each. Domestic panelists included Shri Ajay Maru (Ranchi), Shri Ganpat Kothari (Mumbai), Shri Mahendra Lodha (Ahmedabad), Shri Mangalchand Chaudhary (Pune), Shri Pawan Bansal (Hyderabad), Shri Ramavatar Kila (Delhi), Shri Ratan Sharma (Guwahati), Sachin Pandia (Bengaluru), Santosh Kumar Purohit (Kolkata), Santosh Patwari (Coimbatore), and Shyam Rathi (Surat).

International panelists included Shri Abhishek Jain (Doha), Shri Ajay Kumar Agrawal (London), Shri Amararam Jangid (Dubai), Shri Dau Dayal Gupta (Singapore), Shri Hargovind Singh Rana (Munich), Shri Manish Kalla (Kampala), Shri Moti Dungar (Nepal), Purnima Boria (New York), Sonveer Singh (Nairobi), Tribhuvan Khandelwal (Tokyo), and Vijay Soni (Riyadh).

All panelists thanked CM Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, stating that his strong resolve and willpower have created an investment-friendly environment in Rajasthan. They expressed their desire to support Rajasthan’s development fully. Suggestions and commitment were offered for education, energy, water infrastructure revival, mines & minerals, tourism, sports, medical, and religious tourism development.

Industry & Commerce State Minister Shri K.K. Vishnoi, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Shikhar Agrawal, and leading representatives of diaspora Rajasthani industry were present.
