CM Dhami Performs Rudrabhishek at Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple Ahead of Kumbh Preparations

Haridwar, Dec 2025 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived in Kankhal, the city of King Daksha, on Monday to perform Rudrabhishek and worship at the Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple. During the visit, he also met with the saints of Haridwar to seek their blessings for the state’s welfare and upcoming events.

Speaking to the media, CM Dhami expressed his deep sense of devotion whenever he visits the city of Mahadev. He prayed for the successful completion of all state projects without any obstacles. The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of preparations for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, which will be held in 2027. He hoped that all arrangements for the festival would proceed smoothly and sought the blessings of both the saints and the public. “With the support of the saints and the cooperation of citizens, the government and administration will jointly organize a grand Kumbh Mela. Our endeavor is to make this event a significant opportunity for Uttarakhand,” he said.

On the political front, CM Dhami commented on the appointment of the new National Executive President of the BJP, stating that the move would strengthen the party. He highlighted the enthusiasm of the youth and noted his long association with the party’s youth wing. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dhami said, the BJP continues to grow as the world’s largest political party while working in the national interest.

Mahant Ravindrapuri Maharaj, President of the Akhara Parishad and Secretary of the Mahanirvani Akhara, confirmed that CM Dhami performed Rudrabhishek with traditional religious rites. Maharaj also spoke about supporting the government while upholding traditions, particularly in the context of organizing the Kumbh Mela.

The event was attended by several prominent officials and leaders, including Akhara Parishad General Secretary Mahant Rajendra Das Maharaj, Kothari Jaswinder Singh, Karauli Shankar Mahadev, Suryamohan Giri, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, SSP Pramod Doval, BJP District President Ashutosh Sharma, former MLA Sanjay Gupta, Minister of State Jaipal Chauhan, Shobharam Prajapati, MLAs Adesh Chauhan and Pradeep Batra, along with numerous BJP officials and workers.

The visit highlighted the Chief Minister’s focus on combining devotion, tradition, and administrative planning to ensure a smooth and successful Kumbh Mela, while also reinforcing political engagement and party unity in the state.
