Lunglei, December 2025: Today, Mizoram Chief Secretary Pu Khilli Ram Meena, IAS, visited Lunglei, where he held an interaction session with government heads of office and also inspected key government project sites in the district.

The Chief Secretary arrived at the Lunglei Helipad where he was received by District Deputy Commissioner Pi Navneet Mann and other government officials. This was followed by a meeting with government heads at the DC Conference Hall.

Speaking at the meeting, Chief Secretary Pu Khilli Ram Meena stressed the importance of creating strong, well-planned strategies to ensure that government services and development initiatives reach every citizen in need, in line with the government’s vision. He urged departments to work efficiently and establish systems that support public service delivery.

He emphasised that improved road connectivity and better internet communication systems are top priority requirements for the successful implementation of the 17 schemes under DAJGUA. He instructed district authorities to work diligently to meet these key needs. He also highlighted the importance of decentralised planning and local-level development, urging departments to tailor their work to the needs of every locality and individual household, especially in areas related to healthcare, education, and employment.

He stated that with strong planning and execution, government projects could advance more effectively and deliver better results.

Deputy Commissioner Pi Navneet Mann expressed gratitude to the Chief Secretary and presented an overview of the district’s status and ongoing government initiatives.
