SARAS Rajsakhi National Fair 2025 — Entire India on One Platform, Saras Rajsakhi Fair Becomes a Strong Identity of More Than 350 Self-Help Groups

Jaipur, December 2025 : Organised by the Rajasthan Rural Livelihoods Development Council at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, from December 18 to January 4, 2026, the Saras Rajsakhi National Fair 2025 is presenting a grand celebration of India’s cultural unity and diversity with its emotional theme “India – One Thread Binder.” In this fair, distinctive textile traditions, folk handicrafts and cultural arts from different states of India are being showcased live on a single platform. After the inauguration of the fair by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, ministers, legislators and senior officials have also been visiting the fair, encouraging women and appreciating the event. The popularity of the fair can be gauged from its footfall, as more than one lakh visitors have already enjoyed the fair, and this number is expected to rise further in the coming week. More than 350 self-help groups from across the country are participating in the fair, displaying and offering for sale over 2,000 varieties of handmade products. The stalls present a captivating display of gota-patti, zari, leheriya, bandhej, ajrakh, block print, kantha work, tussar silk, pashmina and woollen textiles, including kurtis, ghagras, lehengas, sarees, suits, dupattas, bedsheets, cushions and sofa covers. In addition, traditional and portrait paintings in Bani-Thani, Madhubani and other folk styles, along with handmade garments such as corsets, dresses and two-piece sets, are attracting art lovers. The fair also features colourful decorative gifts, wooden and terracotta artworks, horse-elephant and king-queen figurines, traditional mojari footwear, jute bags, artistic bamboo items, earthenware, organic spices, snacks, mouth fresheners, candies and sugar-free chocolates. Overall, the fair is not just an opportunity for shopping, but a vibrant and unforgettable experience that weaves together India’s cultural soul, traditions and creativity into a single thread.

One Platform, Many Colours: A Celebration of Culture —

The Saras Rajsakhi National Fair 2025 is emerging as a grand celebration of India’s cultural diversity and vibrancy, where for 18 days, folk art, dance and music from different parts of the country are being showcased daily, drawing large audiences to enjoy these cultural evenings. On the first day, Rajasthan’s Chari, Ghoomar and Kalbeliya dances, Shehnai and Nagada performances, Bharatpur’s Mayur dance and Uttar Pradesh’s Phoolon ki Holi filled the atmosphere with colour, while Assam’s Bihu, Baishali, Karbi, Dhamahi and classical Sattriya dances introduced audiences to northeastern traditions. Energetic performances of Punjab’s Giddha and Bhangra, Mizoram’s traditional Cheraw dance, Maharashtra’s Lavani and Gondhal dances, and Nagaland’s Ao Naga and Kabo Naga mesmerised the audience. The grand fashion show, featuring actress Daisy Shah and the confident ramp walk of women from self-help groups, was a special attraction. Overall, the fair is not just a centre of entertainment but a living representation of India’s rich, diverse and vibrant cultural heritage. In the coming days, audiences will witness performances such as Sikkim’s Lion Mask, Uttarakhand’s Tridiy Chaupala, Kerala’s Chenda and Nadapattu, Haryana’s Daff and Jhoomar, Rajasthani folk dances, Gujarat’s Dandiya and Garba, Tripura’s Hojagiri and Deuvarma, and Rajasthani folk dance and Kathak fusion.

Live Magic of Skill: A Confluence of Craftsmanship, Customisation and Tradition —

Through live demonstrations, artisans from Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur and Churu are showcasing traditional arts such as lac bangles, traditional garments, clay and black pottery, Lippan art, crochet, embroidery, incense sticks and tie-and-dye, greatly attracting visitors. Alongside this, the customisation zone has emerged as a major attraction, where visitors are getting live personalised handmade products created according to their preferred colours, designs, names or patterns. At the ‘Dress Drape Click’ style studio, visitors are trying various regional traditional outfits and draping styles and getting photographs clicked with ethnic accessories, making the entire experience memorable.

From Nature to Health: A Gift of Organic Products —

Organic and natural products presented by self-help groups from Uttarakhand and other regions have become a special attraction at the fair. These include chamomile, buransh (rhododendron), nettle, masala and millet tea, raw honey, apples, jaggery, dry fruits, ghee-based traditional sweets, pickles, amla murabba and candies. Along with these, millet and jowar biscuits, millet cookies, sugar-free chocolates, milk cake, roasted snacks, Bikaneri spices such as coriander, chilli, turmeric and kasuri methi, Bikaneri bhujia, papad and mangodi are also being widely liked. Natural care products include handmade soaps made from rose, aloe vera, neem, sandalwood and turmeric, herbal shampoo, onion and neem oil, apricot oil, dried apricots and woollen products, all of which are completely natural, chemical-free and health-friendly. Dry fruits from Jammu and Kashmir are also gaining popularity among visitors.

Flavours from Across the Country Under One Roof —

The food stalls at the fair showcase the country’s rich culinary traditions, featuring dishes prepared by women from self-help groups such as dal-baati-churma, paratha, poori-sabzi, kachori, pakora, milk-jalebi, rabri, bajra roti, makki roti, ker-sangri, raab, buttermilk, Bikaneri sweets and GI-tagged Kaladi. Along with these, tea-pakoras, kulhad tea, bhel puri, dahi papdi, papdi chaat, pav bhaji, dabeli, vada pav, sweet corn, gajar ka halwa, tomato soup, kulfi, ice cream, coffee and cold coffee, burgers, sandwiches, momos, chowmein, pasta, maggi, idli, litti-chokha and other snacks are making the food court a special destination for food lovers.

Photography and Influencer Contest —

To promote creativity and digital participation, special photography and influencer contests are being organised at the fair. Under the photography contest, visitors can capture colourful moments, cultural glimpses and memorable experiences of the fair and share them on social media with special tags provided by Rajeevika, giving them a chance to win attractive daily prizes. For digital influencers, an influencer meet has been organised in which leading content creators of the city participated and were given a platform to create and share creative content related to the fair on social media until December 30. The winners of this contest will be announced on January 4, 2026, with prizes of ₹1.50 lakh for first place, ₹1 lakh for second and ₹50,000 for third place. Winners will be selected based on content quality, effective storytelling, creative presentation, audience engagement and overall impact, further strengthening the fair’s digital identity.

Lucky Buyer Award: Shop and Win —

To encourage visitors during the 18 days of the fair, a daily Lucky Buyer Award scheme is being run, under which two lucky buyers are selected each day through a lucky draw and given attractive gifts worth ₹20,000 to ₹50,000. Buyers who submit a coupon with a valid bill for a minimum purchase of ₹1,000 by 5 pm are eligible for the draw, which is conducted daily between 5 pm and 6 pm with complete transparency.
