Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan visited the Subramanya Samaj’s Lord Murugan (Kartik Swami) temple at Chhedanagar, Chembur in Mumbai on the occasion of the 120th day of the Chandi Maha Yagyam on Monday.
The temple, which is one of the biggest and oldest Lord Murugan temples in Mumbai is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee this year. The Governor had the darshan of Valli Devasena Sameth Sri Subramania Swamy, Shiva Parvathi, Nataraja, Maha Ganapathi, Dharmasanstha Ayyapa, Guruvayurappan, Durga Devi and the Navagrahas.
The Governor offered Purnahuthi at the Chandi Maha Yagyam and interacted with devotees assembled on the occasion. The Peethadhipati of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Vijayendra Swamy addressed the meeting through online mode.
Along with the Chandi Maha Yagyam, the temple also organised Lakshmi Narayana Hridaya Stotram and Sampoorna Chaturveda Paranayam to commemorate the occasion.
The Secretary of Sri Subramania Samaj P. Subramanian, D. Vijaya Banu Ganapadigal, Vice President of Sri Subramania Samaj Ramnath S, Chairman of Shruti Smruti Seva Trust and devotees were present.
