‘Dominar 400’: An Advanced Safety Shield for Cyclists

Pune, Jan 2026 : For the ‘Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026’, Bajaj has provided 100 Dominar 400 motorcycles equipped with advanced features to the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerates (25 each) and 50 to the Pune District Rural Police Force. These motorcycles are serving as a protective safety shield for the cyclists.
These motorcycles have officially become part of the convoy along the 437-kilometre cycling race route. Along with effective patrolling on the race route, the motorcycles are tasked with providing rapid emergency response. They have especially drawn public attention during the event.
The Dominar 400 motorcycles have been significantly upgraded from their standard versions, keeping in mind the demanding requirements faced by police personnel while performing challenging duties.
Enhanced Visibility and Communication
To manage traffic and respond effectively to incidents, the Dominar 400 is fitted with powerful LED emergency lights, sirens, and a public address system with push-to-talk radio transmission. Additional features include a GPS tracking system and charging points for essential devices such as mobile phones and walkie-talkies.
Emergency Preparedness
Each Dominar 400 is equipped with an emergency first-aid kit. The bikes also feature integrated, lockable side panniers and a top box, designed to carry essential equipment such as first-aid kits, forensic tools, and documents.
Enhanced Performance, Handling, and Safety
Powered by a 373.3 cc liquid-cooled engine with proven reliability, the Dominar 400 is equipped with advanced rider-assist features including anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control, and electronic suspension adjustment, ensuring superior handling, agility, and safety during high-speed pursuits or in challenging conditions.
