Rs 472 Crore Draft Annual Plan Approved for Dhule District

Dhule, January 2026 : The District Planning Committee, chaired by State Marketing and Protocol Minister and Guardian Minister of Dhule district, Jaykumar Rawal, has approved the draft annual plan for Dhule district amounting to Rs 472.66 crore for the year 2026–27. The approved outlay includes Rs 292.10 crore under the General District Annual Plan, Rs 32 crore under the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan, and Rs 148.56 crore under the Tribal Sub-Plan. The draft plan will now be submitted to the state-level committee for final approval.

The meeting was held in the new planning hall at the District Collector’s Office and was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Dr Shobha Bachhav, MLAs Kashiram Pawara, Manjula Gavit and Anupbhaiyya Agrawal, District Collector Bhagyashri Vispute, Zilla Parishad CEO Aziz Sheikh, Superintendent of Police Shrikant Dhivare, Municipal Commissioner Nitin Kapadnis, Additional District Collector Subhash Borakar, Resident Deputy Collector Sharad Pawar, District Planning Officer Sunil Sonar, Project Officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Department Pramod Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare Sanjay Saindane, and heads of various departments.

Prepare a 100-Day Development Plan for Dhule: Jaykumar Rawal

Guardian Minister Jaykumar Rawal directed officials to prepare a 100-day development plan to establish a distinct identity for Dhule district and create a positive image in sectors such as tourism, industry, agriculture, education, and industrial investment.

He called for effective utilisation of the district’s geographical advantages, national highways, road connectivity, irrigation facilities, industrial estates, and the expansion of the Manmad–Indore railway line to boost industrial growth. He also noted that areas near Songir would be included under Phase II of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and instructed officials to prepare an excellent presentation, as the Prime Minister is expected to review the project.

Rawal emphasised that funds under the District Annual Plan should be utilised for substantial and impactful works and that administrative approvals should be expedited. He directed the Electricity Department to immediately provide a transformer to operationalise the MRI machine at the district hospital. He also instructed officials to prepare development plans for forts, heritage sites, and ancient temples; hold regular meetings of Forest Rights Committees; assign unique IDs (UIDs) to all infrastructure projects; ensure timely utilisation of district planning funds; implement innovative initiatives in core areas; stock fish seed in all reservoirs; prepare an industrial growth action plan; organise import-export conferences; and submit proposals for new police stations and police housing.

He further informed that an additional demand of Rs 266 crore would be placed before the state-level committee this year to address the district’s development backlog.

During the meeting, public representatives including MP Dr Shobha Bachhav and MLAs Kashiram Pawara, Manjula Gavit, and Anupbhaiyya Agrawal actively participated in discussions and offered important suggestions.

A review of expenditure for 2025–26 was also conducted. Under the General Plan, approved funds of Rs 348 crore saw an expenditure of 42.38 percent. The Tribal Sub-Plan recorded 41.44 percent expenditure, while the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan recorded 10.22 percent expenditure. District Collector Bhagyashri Vispute informed that planning is underway to achieve 100 percent utilisation of funds by March-end. District Planning Officer Sunil Sonar proposed the vote of thanks.
