Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had undertaken several initiatives for public welfare and the development of the country during his years in public life. He said the Prime Minister had worked continuously with dedication and, according to him, had not taken a single day’s leave in 25 years. The Chief Minister added that the Prime Minister had undertaken initiatives that would be remembered for a long time, including providing houses to the poor and free foodgrains to needy families.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed a Deepotsav ceremony organised at Ram Ghat on the banks of the Shipra in Ujjain on the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Modi’s birthday. He said Prime Minister Shri Modi was serving as the Prime Minister of the world’s largest democracy and would complete 25 years in public life in October. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh had sought to realise the Prime Minister’s vision through various initiatives on his birthday. He said a statewide campaign had been launched to provide free registration to more than 50 lakh rural residents holding rights to residential and agricultural land under the Swamitva Yojana.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the Prime Minister’s birthday was being observed with the hope that the Deepotsav would dispel darkness from people’s lives. He said, “The eternal Indian ethos of ‘live for humanity and let others live’ had received renewed emphasis during the Prime Minister’s tenure and that India was moving towards a new phase of development and progress.”
National President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Nitin Nabin paid his respects to the sacred land of Ujjain. He said Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had taken forward the initiative to provide property rights to 50 lakh people in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the Swamitva Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Shri Modi in 2020 and was now being implemented extensively across Madhya Pradesh.
Shri Nabin said Prime Minister Shri Modi had strengthened India’s cultural heritage and highlighted the country’s civilisational traditions. Referring to welfare initiatives, he said these measures had brought
changes in the lives of poor families, including access to housing and LPG connections for women under the Ujjwala Yojana. He said the change since 2014 was not merely a change of government but also a change in the approach to governance.Thanking the people of Ujjain, Shri Nabin said that lakhs of diyas had been lit as prayers for the Prime Minister’s long life and conveyed his greetings to the people of the city. The Ashirwad Ka Diya programme at Ujjain’s Shipra riverfront formed part of the birthday celebrations and the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
Senior MLA and State President Shri Hemant Khandelwal said that lakhs of people in Ujjain had lit diyas to greet Prime Minister Shri Modi on his birthday. He said the country had a Prime Minister who had devoted himself to public service. Shri Khandelwal congratulated Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for organising the Deepotsav in Ujjain.
