Instructions Issued to Medical Officers During State-Level Meeting
Parbhani, September 2026 : Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare Meghna Sakore-Bordikar directed all medical officers to ensure that various schemes and services of the Health Department are implemented effectively through the Seva Sankalp Campaign and that their benefits reach the last person in society.
She made the remarks while addressing a state-level meeting of the Health Department conducted through video conferencing. She also stressed the need for coordinated planning by health officials to ensure easy access to healthcare facilities, particularly for citizens living in remote and rural areas.
The meeting was held at the District Collectorate under the chairmanship of Bordikar to review the effective implementation of the Seva Sankalp Campaign. Commissioner of Health Services and Mission Director, National Health Mission, Mumbai, Sanjay Shripatrao Katkar, along with all district surgeons and district health officers, participated in the meeting.
At the meeting hall of the District Collectorate, Zilla Parishad President Lata Wakale, District Collector Sanjaysingh Chavan, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Natisha Mathur, Additional District Collector Shobha Jadhav, Resident Deputy Collector Anuradha Dhalkari, District Surgeon Dr Nagesh Lakhmawar and District Health Officer Dr Kishor Survase, among others, were present.
Bordikar said that health check-up camps, eye examination camps, cataract surgeries, blood donation camps and screening camps for diabetes and other diseases should be organised during the campaign. She also called for the involvement of non-governmental organisations in these initiatives.
She emphasised that special attention should be given to taking healthcare schemes and services to citizens in remote and extremely remote areas. Health check-ups should also be conducted for students and children, she said. Officials were instructed to undertake the necessary planning to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign.
The Minister of State further directed district surgeons and district health officers to conduct meetings at their respective levels and plan the activities under the campaign. She stressed the need for coordination among the concerned departments and agencies to ensure effective implementation of every initiative under the campaign.
She also instructed officials to ensure regular daily reporting on the activities being conducted as part of the campaign.
During the meeting, Commissioner Sanjay Katkar provided detailed information about the various initiatives being undertaken by the Health Department under the Seva Sankalp Campaign.
