Congress Appoints Three District Presidents in Telangana Under Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan

Hyderabad, Sept 2026 : The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed presidents for three District Congress Committees in Telangana as part of its ongoing Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, with the appointments taking effect immediately.

The appointments were made after approval from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, according to a press release issued by AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal.

As per the announcement, MD Mustafa has been appointed president of the Ramagundam Corporation District Congress Committee, while Chigirintha Parijatha will head the Ranga Reddy District Congress Committee. Patolla Chandrasekhar Reddy has been appointed president of the Sanga Reddy District Congress Committee.

The appointments are part of the Congress' broader organisational restructuring exercise being carried out under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan. The initiative focuses on strengthening the party's organisational structure at the district and grassroots levels by appointing leaders to key positions and expanding coordination across local units.

The three organisational units are significant within Telangana's political and administrative landscape. Ranga Reddy and Sanga Reddy are among the major districts surrounding Hyderabad, while the Ramagundam Corporation area includes important urban and industrial centres.

The newly appointed district presidents are expected to take charge immediately and oversee organisational activities in their respective areas. Their responsibilities will include coordinating party programmes, strengthening local organisational networks and improving engagement with workers and supporters at the grassroots level.

According to party sources, the appointments are aimed at providing fresh momentum to organisational activities and preparing the district units for upcoming political programmes. The new office-bearers are expected to work closely with local leaders and functionaries to strengthen the party's presence across constituencies and polling booth-level structures.

The AICC has been announcing organisational appointments in several states as part of the wider restructuring initiative. The party has been focusing on strengthening its organisational framework from the grassroots level, with district committees playing a key role in coordinating programmes and maintaining communication between state leadership and local workers.

The latest appointments in Telangana are expected to be followed by further organisational changes as the Congress continues its restructuring exercise. More announcements relating to Telangana and other states are likely as the party proceeds with the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.

With the three new district presidents set to assume their responsibilities immediately, the focus will now be on strengthening the respective district units, coordinating party activities and expanding organisational outreach across their areas.
