— 76.32% of voters exercised their franchise
Jaipur, September 2026 : Repolling at Polling Station No. 23 of Ward No. 62 of Jaipur Municipal Corporation, located at Government Upper Primary School, Room No. 4, Teela Wala, Sanganer, was conducted peacefully and successfully on Sunday under the Urban Local Body General Elections-2026.
District Election Officer (Local Bodies) and District Collector Sandesh Nayak said the repolling was conducted following directions of the State Election Commission. The earlier polling at the said polling station had been declared void after an incident on September 11 affected the polling process and raised concerns regarding the freedom and fairness of the election.
He said that during the repolling, 448 out of a total of 587 registered voters exercised their franchise. The voters included 230 men and 218 women.
Thus, 76.32 per cent of the electorate exercised their right to vote, contributing to the strengthening of the democratic process.
The repolling process was conducted under close monitoring by Sanganer Sub-Divisional Officer Vikas Prajapat, Sanganer Tehsildar Snehdeep, and other officials. The polling concluded peacefully and successfully with the necessary administrative and security arrangements in place.
