Nutrition Distribution at Anganwadi Centres Reaches 86% Through SRS; Deputy CM Calls for Tech-Based Skill Training for Women

Jaipur, May 2026 : Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Women and Child Development, Diya Kumari, has directed officials to provide high-quality, technology-based skill training to girls and women under the Chief Minister’s Women Empowerment Scheme. Emphasizing the challenges posed by the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), she stressed the urgent need for skill development to ensure sustainable livelihoods for women. She instructed the Directorate of Women Empowerment to deliver advanced, technology-driven training programs in this regard.

These directions were issued during a departmental review meeting held at the Secretariat on Saturday under her chairmanship, in the presence of Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Dr. Manju Baghmar.

During the meeting, Diya Kumari reviewed various schemes, including the Lado Incentive Scheme, and instructed officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive timely benefits. She also assessed the progress of the Kali Bai Bhil Udaan Scheme and directed that necessary measures be taken for its effective implementation.

In addition, she reviewed the Shiksha Setu Scheme, the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, and the Chief Minister Work From Home Scheme. The Deputy Chief Minister directed that all budget announcements of the state government be implemented within stipulated timelines.

She also instructed officials to accelerate the development of basic infrastructure at Anganwadi centres, including electricity, drinking water, and functional toilets. Emphasizing the need for rapid progress in construction and repair work, she directed that completed projects be physically verified by senior officials, while ongoing works should be closely monitored and expedited. Pending works, she added, must be initiated without delay. She further directed the development of 7,500 new “Nand Ghars” at Anganwadi centres this year.

Expressing satisfaction over the efforts of the Women and Child Development Department and the ICDS Directorate, she noted that 86% distribution of Take-Home Ration (THR) through the SRS system has been achieved for eligible beneficiaries at Anganwadi centres. She directed that THR distribution be ensured for all eligible beneficiaries through the FRS system as well, while maintaining strict quality standards.

The Deputy Chief Minister also praised Rajasthan’s achievement of securing the top position in the country during last year’s Nutrition Fortnight under the National Nutrition Mission. Expressing confidence in repeating this success, she urged the department to work diligently across all schemes and programs to maintain the state’s leading position at the national level.

She further directed that Anganwadi workers be given priority in receiving high-quality training to enhance service delivery.
