Good Governance Camps Held in Kistaram and Sindhurguda
Raipur, May 2026 : Good Governance Camps were organised in the villages of Kistaram and Sindhurguda under the Konda development block of Sukma district as part of the state government’s “Su-Governance Festival” (Sushasan Tihar) being implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai.
The camps were inspected by State Women’s Commission member Ms. Deepika Sori, who interacted with villagers, reviewed the benefits of government schemes being delivered on the ground, and expressed satisfaction over the effective implementation of welfare programmes.
Certificates Distributed on the Spot
During the camps, villagers were issued important documents such as birth certificates, caste certificates, and domicile certificates on the spot. Ms. Sori personally handed over birth certificates to children and said that the state government is ensuring that administration reaches every village to resolve public issues quickly.
She added that this initiative is saving villagers from repeated visits to government offices, thereby saving both time and money while improving access to essential services.
Special Activities for Women and Children
The camps also featured special programmes for women and children organised by the Women and Child Development Department. Traditional “god bharai” (baby shower) ceremonies were conducted for pregnant women, while “anna prashan” (first feeding ceremony) rituals were performed for young children.
These cultural and welfare activities created an atmosphere of warmth and community bonding in the villages. Officials highlighted the government’s focus on maternal health, child nutrition, and overall well-being of women and children.
Villagers Express Gratitude
Local residents expressed gratitude to the administration, stating that for the first time government services had reached directly to their doorstep. They said that through Sushasan Tihar, a direct connection has been established between the government and the people, strengthening public trust.
Bringing Services to Remote Areas
Officials noted that such camps are ensuring easy access to administrative services in remote and sensitive regions. The initiative is not only helping villagers avail benefits of government schemes but is also presenting a new model of rural development and public welfare.
The Sushasan Tihar programme continues to expand government outreach, ensuring timely delivery of services and strengthening grassroots governance across the state.
