Youth are Nation’s Hope and Strength: Governor Shri Patel

Bhopal, May 2026 : Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that the youth are the hope and strength of the nation. Their thoughts and character will shape the future of the country. He emphasised that whatever work young people undertake, they should strive for excellence while remaining deeply sensitive and compassionate. He noted that compassion is one of the most important virtues in life and that affection and kindness are far more valuable than material wealth. The Governor advised students never to forget those who supported them on their journey, even when they achieve great success in life.

Governor Shri Patel was addressing the SISTec Glory Ceremony held at the Hans Dhwani Auditorium of Ravindra Bhavan on Saturday. He was welcomed and felicitated with a shawl and a memento. The Governor inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Governor Shri Patel said that every aspect of life has two sides and that success lies in making the right efforts in the right direction. He observed that success is never achieved alone, as many individuals contribute directly and indirectly to a person’s accomplishments. Through an anecdote, the Governor advised students to always respect and care for their parents and never engage in actions that may cause them distress. He added that ups and downs are a natural part of life and that sincere, dedicated efforts are what truly matter.

Governor Shri Patel stated that the Glory Ceremony is not merely a celebration of securing employment but also marks the beginning of new responsibilities and commitments in life. He said that students who have received placements have a responsibility to use their knowledge and talent to contribute to society’s efforts toward improving the lives of the poor and underprivileged. The Governor emphasised that personal prosperity, institutional growth and national progress are built on hard work and integrity. According to him, the most effective expression of patriotism is to perform one’s duties with dedication, sincerity and a spirit of service.

Chairman of the Sagar Group, Shri Sudhir Agrawal, congratulated the students and said that hard work is the only path to India’s progress. He emphasised that every effort ultimately yields results. Managing Director of the Group, Shri Siddharth Sudhir Agrawal, encouraged students to draw inspiration from the institution’s work culture. Through an illustrative example, he highlighted the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and urged students never to be discouraged by failures.

The welcome address was delivered by Director Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Group Head–Corporate Relations, Ms. Prachi Shrivastava.
