Sanatan Values Blend Science with Balanced, Healthy Living: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that in Indian culture, tradition and science have never been separate. The values of the Sanatan system are not merely religious practices, but a scientific approach to making life balanced, healthy and meaningful. Garbh Sanskar, he explained, is the process of nurturing the child in the womb physically, mentally and spiritually. The Chief Minister said that Garbh Sanskar rooms will be established in the buildings of newly constructed government hospitals in the state. Arrangements will also be made for the study and teaching of Garbh Sanskar in the state’s medical universities and their affiliated colleges. A gazette notification in this regard will be issued soon.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the book release programme of Garbh Sanskar on Sunday at the Daily College. He inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Mata. He was welcomed with a ceremonial shawl and a coconut. The Chief Minister released the book ‘Garbh Sanskar’, authored by Dr. Anil Garg and Dr. Seema Garg. He also administered a pledge to the gathering to make positive efforts to promote and disseminate the concept of Garbh Sanskar. On this occasion, he honoured Dr. Narayan Vyas.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that motherhood is not merely a biological process; along with physical development, the womb serves as the first school of values. Modern science has established that from five to six months onwards, a child begins to be influenced by the mother’s emotions and the external environment. Referring to Abhimanyu in the Mahabharata and other ancient examples, he said that India’s ancestors had a profound understanding of mental and emotional development. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the strength of Ayurveda is well known. During the COVID period, all systems of medicine adopted Ayurvedic processes to enhance immunity and prevent infection. Ayurveda has long acknowledged the importance of Garbh Sanskar, and modern medical science is now also recognising its significance.

All-India Executive Committee Member Bhaiyyaji Joshi said that India’s philosophy is not to dominate the world, but to guide it. India will emerge as a “super nation” that shows the right direction to the world in various fields of life. He said that in the cycle of creation, India has witnessed both rise and decline, but its spiritual strength and inherent potential are so strong that it has the capacity to rise again. He emphasised that the creation of a refined human being is not possible through education or material wealth alone, but through the right education and strong values. A nation cannot progress without strong human capital.

Shri Joshi said that while the Western perspective often views humans as machines, Indian thought is focused on the holistic development of the human being. When weapons fall into unworthy hands, they lead to disastrous consequences; therefore, values are essential along with power. He said that Indore is a city enriched by the noble traditions of the sacred Narmada and Devi Ahilyabai. Holding this programme in Indore is symbolic, as the blossoming of ideas often begins from the centre. He urged the youth and couples not to limit scriptural values to mere presentation, but to imbibe them in conduct. For this, mass awareness and a broad movement are necessary so that even in adverse circumstances, individuals can walk the right path and contribute to nation-building. He also said that this initiative will be meaningful only when society adopts it seriously and shares experiences to move forward collectively.

The event was also addressed by Dr. Anil Kumar Garg and Dr. Hiteshbhai Jani. On the occasion, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs Shri Mahendra Hardia and Shri Golu Shukla, public representatives and members of spiritual, religious and social organisations, including Ashok Varshney, Yogendra Mahant, Gunvant Kothari, Vinod Agrawal, Vikram Singh Pawar, Radheshyam Sharma Guruji and Dr. Anil Kumar Garg, were present.
