Donald Trump Affirms The Willingness Bestowed By Every Country In Continuing With Trade Deals.

Washington DC; February 2026: President Donald Trump on Tuesday praised congressional Republicans for passing what he called was the cornerstone of his second-term agenda, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”, while sharply criticising Democrats for opposing the sweeping tax package.

“The Republicans delivered so beautifully”, Trump said during his State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress, referring to GOP lawmakers who backed the legislation.

At the same time, Donald Trump have also criticised Democrats for voting against the bill, “All Democrats, every single one of them, voted against these really important and very necessary, massive tax cuts. They wanted large-scale tax increases to hurt the people instead”, the President said. “But we held strong and with the great big beautiful bill, we gave you no tax on tips, no tax on

overtime and no tax on social security for our great seniors”. Trump pointed to trade levies as a central pillar of his administration’s economic strategy.

The President said the tariffs helped reverse what he previously characterised as a stagnant economy and declining global leverage, arguing they strengthened domestic industry and compelled trading partners to renegotiate agreements. He also aimed at the Supreme Court of the United States, which recently invalidated several of his tariff actions. Calling the ruling “very unfortunate”, Trump made the

remarks as four justices sat before him in the House chamber.

“Just four days ago, an unfortunate ruling from the United States Supreme Court. Very unfortunate ruling but the good news is that almost all countries and corporations want to keep the deal that they already made. Knowing that the legal power that I, as President, have to make a new deal could be

far worse for them, and therefore, they will continue to work along the same successful path that we had negotiated before the Supreme Court’s unfortunate involvement”, Trump said.

“Countries that were ripping us off for decades are now paying us hundreds of billions of dollars And yet these countries are now happy, and so are we. We made deals. The deals are all done, and they’re happy. There was no inflation, tremendous growth, and the big story was how Donald Trump called the economy correctly, and 22 Nobel Prize winners in economics didn’t. They got it totally wrong. They got it really wrong. And then just four days ago, an unfortunate ruling from the United States Supreme Court. It just came down. Very unfortunate ruling, but the good news is that almost all countries and corporations want to keep the deal that they already made”, he added.

The US President also claimed the US markets had hit historic highs on the back of the Tariff structures before the US Supreme Court ruling. “One of the primary reasons for our country’s stunning economic turnaround, the biggest in history, where the Dow Jones broke 50,000 four years ahead of schedule, and the S&P hit 7,000 where it wasn’t supposed to do it for many years, was tariffs. I used these tariffs, took in hundreds of billions of dollars to make great deals for our country, both economically and on a national security basis. Everything was working well”, he said.

Trump claimed that in the 09 months since he became the President, “no illegal alien” has been able to enter the United States. “In the past 09 months, zero illegal aliens have been admitted to the United States. We will always allow people to come in legally, people who will love our country and will work hard to maintain it. The flow of deadly fentanyl across our border is down by a record 56% in one year. Last year, the murder rate saw its single largest decline in recorded history. This is the biggest decline. The lowest number in over 125 years”, Trump said.

“Tonight, after just one year, I can say with dignity and pride that we have achieved a transformation like no one has ever seen before, and a turnaround for the ages. We will never go back to where we were just a short time ago”, he added.

The official theme of this year’s address is “America at 250: Strong, Prosperous and Respected”. Trump is expected to focus heavily on the economy, proposing new tax cuts and highlighting what he calls a resurgence in American prosperity during the first year of his second term. In 2026, the United States marks its 250th anniversary, commemorating the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This milestone celebrates two and a half centuries since the thirteen colonies declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain and began a bold experiment in self-government.

As the United States reaches this historic milestone, the 250th anniversary serves as both a commemoration and a moment of renewal, honouring its history while looking ahead to its future.

In a move aimed at balancing the rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence infrastructure with consumer energy costs, President Donald Trump in his State of the Union Address, announced a new agreement with major technology companies to allow the construction of dedicated power plants for AI data centres. Trump said the agreements are designed to prevent rising electricity demand from driving up utility bills for households and small businesses. “Many Americans are also concerned that energy demand from AI data centres could unfairly drive up their electric utility bills. Tonight, I’m pleased to announce that I have negotiated the new rate payer protection pledge”, he said.

The President said the pledge would require large technology firms building data centres to generate their own electricity rather than relying on local power grids that serve residential and commercial customers. Artificial intelligence systems, which require vast computing power to train and operate

advanced models, are increasingly dependent on massive data centres that consume significant amounts of energy.

Under the new framework, companies planning major AI infrastructure projects would be permitted to build on-site or nearby power generation facilities to meet their needs. According to Trump, the goal is to shield surrounding communities from price spikes that can occur when large scale industrial users place additional strain on existing energy systems. The President said, “We’re telling the major tech companies that they have the obligation to provide for their own power needs” so that “no one’s prices will go up”.

Data centres already account for a growing share of U.S. electricity consumption, and that figure is expected to rise as companies race to expand AI capabilities. “This is a unique strategy never used in this country before. We have an old grid, it could never handle the kind of numbers, the amount of electricity that’s needed. So, I’m telling them they can build their own plant, they’ve got to produce their own electricity”, he said.
