Indore–Ujjain Greenfield Project to Become a Model of Trust Bbtween Farmers and Government: CM Dr. Yadav
Residents of the Sanwer area of Indore district visited the Chief Minister’s Residence to express their gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for approving the construction of the Indore–Ujjain Greenfield road at the ground level while ensuring fair compensation for farmers. They welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him with a traditional turban and a large garland. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended Holi and Rang Panchami greetings to everyone present at the Chief Minister’s Residence. Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsi Silawat was also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the road to be constructed between Indore and Ujjain at a cost of ₹3,000 crore will reduce travel time between the two cities from one hour and fifteen minutes to just thirty minutes. Improved connectivity between the two cities will accelerate regional development. He said that the project will benefit local industries, logistics parks, farmers’ access to mandis, and trade and business activities. The road will also be significant for national trade and commerce, facilitating faster and smoother connectivity between major industrial and commercial centres. As a result, movement and economic activity will increase, further enhancing the importance of the Indore–Ujjain region.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that historically and traditionally, this route has been the most suitable connection between Indore and Ujjain. The project will benefit 20 villages in Indore district and 6 villages in Ujjain district. The road will also prove convenient and beneficial for the Simhastha Kumbh. He said that the project marks the beginning of a new era of development in the Indore–Ujjain region. For the state government, the welfare of farmers remains the highest priority. Constructing the road in accordance with farmers’ suggestions and ensuring appropriate compensation reflects that the government delivers on its commitments. This project will serve as a model of trust between farmers and the government.
Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsi Silawat said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav understands the pain and hardships faced by farmers. The approval of the Indore–Ujjain Greenfield road in this form reflects his sensitivity towards farmers. He stated that more than ₹816 crore in compensation will now be distributed to farmers under the project. Minister Shri Silawat expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for this initiative.
