Minister Lakshmi Rajwade Extends Greetings on International Women’s Day

Raipur, March 2026 : Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwade has extended her heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all mothers, sisters, and daughters of the state on the occasion of International Women’s Day, which is observed on March 8.

Mrs. Rajwade said that International Women’s Day is a celebration of the strength, courage, and achievements of women. Today, women are showcasing their talent in every field, including education, administration, entrepreneurship, science, sports, and social leadership, and are playing an important role in nation-building.

She stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is giving top priority to the social and economic empowerment of women. Through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, lakhs of women in the state are receiving monthly financial assistance, which has increased their confidence and enabled them to actively participate in decision-making within their families and society.

Along with this, women are moving forward toward self-employment and entrepreneurship through self-help groups and the Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission ‘Bihan’.

The Women and Child Development Minister said that the state government is also effectively implementing several schemes for women’s health, nutrition, education, and safety to ensure that women receive a safe and dignified environment.

Mrs. Rajwade appealed to society to provide daughters with the same education, opportunities, and encouragement as sons. She said that only when women become educated, capable, and self-reliant will it be possible to build a strong, equitable, and developed society.
