Ensure Basic Facilities in Yeola Industrial Estate: Minister Chhagan Bhujbal

Mumbai, March 2026 : Basic infrastructure and essential facilities should be provided promptly in the Yeola Industrial Estate, and entrepreneurs should be granted a free extension of time until these facilities are made available, directed Chhagan Bhujbal, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister of Maharashtra.

Minister Bhujbal was speaking during a review meeting held at the Mantralaya regarding issues related to the industrial estate in Yeola. The meeting was attended by MLA Pankaj Bhujbal, former MP Sameer Bhujbal, Yeola Municipal Council President Rajendra Lonari, Agricultural Produce Market Committee Chairman Vasant Pawar, and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) CEO P. Velarasu, along with officials from MIDC and other concerned departments.

Minister Bhujbal stated that for the industrial development of Yeola, it is essential to develop the industrial estate to its full potential. In this context, immediate steps should be taken to ensure water supply to entrepreneurs in the estate, while also accelerating the work underway to establish a permanent water supply system in the area. He further directed that electricity supply and road infrastructure in the estate should be given priority.

Until these facilities are fully developed, entrepreneurs who have registered their units in the estate should be given a free extension of time to start production. The period for construction of industrial units should also be extended by two years. Minister Bhujbal also instructed concerned agencies at the regional level to hold meetings and expedite the creation of permanent infrastructure in the estate.

He noted that the current price of industrial plots in the Yeola Industrial Estate is relatively high, which discourages investors from setting up industries there. Therefore, he suggested that the existing plot rates should be reduced by at least 50 percent. He also called for encouraging large industries to invest in the estate.

Minister Bhujbal further instructed officials to understand the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs in the Yeola Industrial Estate and resolve them promptly, ensuring smoother industrial growth in the region.
