CM Nitish Kumar Launches ₹209 Crore Development Projects in Kaimur, Reviews Progress

Patna, March 2026: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, during his “Samriddhi Yatra,” visited Kaimur district and announced development projects worth ₹209 crore. A total of 204 development schemes were inaugurated and foundation stones laid during the visit.

During his tour, the Chief Minister reviewed various ongoing development works in the district and directed officials to ensure their timely completion. He inspected the under-construction Minority Residential School and Panchayat Government Building in Chainpur block. He also visited stalls set up by different departments.

As part of the कार्यक्रम, financial assistance was distributed to beneficiaries. Self-help groups under Jeevika received a symbolic cheque of ₹270 crore. Under the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana, funds amounting to ₹1.14 crore (second and third instalments) were disbursed. Benefits under social security schemes, land allotment certificates, and financial aid under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana worth ₹279 crore were also provided. Additionally, e-rickshaws and battery-operated tricycles were distributed to beneficiaries.

Women from Jeevika groups expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for empowering them economically and promoting self-reliance through various schemes. The Chief Minister appreciated their efforts and encouraged them to continue contributing to Bihar’s development.

Nitish Kumar also flagged off four tourist vehicles for Jungle Safari Wildlife Sanctuary in Kaimur.

Reviewing the progress of various schemes, the Chief Minister sought detailed updates from officials. Key projects include construction of block-cum-circle offices in eight blocks, a sports complex, a degree college in Adhaura, irrigation projects, tourism infrastructure development, and road strengthening works.

He emphasized that all projects must be completed within the stipulated time to accelerate regional development.

At a function near the Minority Residential School in Chainpur, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones for the projects. Of the total, 161 schemes worth ₹162 crore were inaugurated, while 43 schemes worth ₹47 crore were launched.

He also inaugurated an Anganwadi centre at Naughara and interacted with children there.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, ministers Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Ramkripal Yadav, Jama Khan, and other public representatives and senior officials were present on the occasion.
