Khelo India Tribal Games 2026: Arunachal’s Anai Wangsu Wins Gold in 58 kg Women’s Weightlifting

Raipur, March 2026: The senior women’s 58 kg weightlifting competition at the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 was held at the sports complex of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University in Raipur, showcasing impressive performances by talented athletes from across the country.

Anai Wangsu from Arunachal Pradesh emerged as the winner, clinching the gold medal with a total lift of 169 kg. She demonstrated excellent strength and technique, lifting 74 kg in the snatch and 95 kg in the clean and jerk to secure the top position.

Mina Santa from Odisha delivered a strong performance to win the silver medal with a total lift of 165 kg. Meanwhile, Mina Singh, also from Odisha, claimed the bronze medal by lifting 161 kg.

Other participants, including Martina Mili and Tara Sonowal from Assam, as well as G. Lenin S. Priya from Andhra Pradesh, also put up commendable performances. The competition witnessed intense rivalry, with spectators applauding every successful lift.

The event not only highlighted the strength and confidence of women athletes but also provided a national platform for emerging talent from tribal regions. Through the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026, young women across the country are steadily moving towards achieving greater success in the field of sports.
