Power Infrastructure to Strengthen Across State Under CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s Initiative; Major Boost for Jashpur and Other Regions
Raipur, April 2026: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, significant steps are being taken to strengthen and modernize the power infrastructure across the state. As part of this effort, a comprehensive plan is being implemented to address low voltage issues in Jashpur district and several rural areas.
Following the Chief Minister’s directives, additional transformers will be installed in 133 villages, towns, and hamlets of Jashpur district. This initiative aims to provide a permanent solution to the long-standing problems of low voltage and frequent power disruptions. The move is expected to directly benefit farmers, students, and small business owners by ensuring smoother daily operations and improved productivity.
In addition, the state government is fast-tracking major power infrastructure projects in Jashpur district. A state-of-the-art 400/220 kV substation is being established at Harradand in Kunkuri, which will be among the key high-capacity substations in the state. Furthermore, new 33/11 kV substations will be set up at multiple locations, including Salihatoli, Vipatpur, Bhagora, Samdama, Maini, Rede, Palidih, Khutera, and Chetwa.
Alongside these, high-capacity 132/33 kV substations have also been approved for Farsabahar and Jhikki Bagicha. These developments are expected to significantly strengthen the regional power distribution network and improve the overall reliability of electricity supply.
With the implementation of these schemes, the quality of power supply across the state is set to improve substantially. Issues such as low voltage and frequent tripping are likely to reduce, while industrial and agricultural activities will gain new momentum. The initiative is also expected to bring positive changes to the standard of living in rural areas.
Residents of the state have expressed their appreciation for Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s efforts, describing the initiative as a major step toward comprehensive development and improved infrastructure.
