Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to Provide Rs 10 Crore for New Nandgaon Municipality Building
Nashik : Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Rs 10 crore will be allocated for the construction of a new building for Nandgaon Municipality. He praised the Shiva Srishti project in Nandgaon, stating that the necessary funds will be provided for its completion.
The Shiva Srishti project, initiated by MLA Suhas Kande, is being developed on a one-hectare site through the regional tourism development plan and general district annual plan. The first phase was inaugurated at the Arts, Commerce, and Science College premises in Sohala. Chief Minister Shinde, along with District Guardian Minister Dadaji Bhuse, MP Dr. Srikant Shinde, MLA Kishore Darade, MLA Suhas Kande, former MP Sanjay Nirupam, and social activist Anjumtai Kande, were present at the event.
Chief Minister Shinde emphasized that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a significant figure for the state and the nation. He expressed pride in the efforts to establish this historic project in Nandgaon, which he believes will be a milestone in the city’s development. He assured that the necessary funds for the Shiva Srishti project will be made available.
The state government has implemented various welfare schemes, including the CM- My Beloved Sister Scheme, which has benefited millions of women in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Shinde mentioned that the funding for this scheme will be increased in the future to boost the economy. Additionally, the Chief Minister Youth Work Training Scheme has been launched to support youth development. He also announced a decision to provide free education for girls.
MLA Suhas Kande highlighted that the Shiva Srishti project has fulfilled the dreams of Nandgaon’s residents. He revealed plans for the second phase of the project, which will include the construction of the Shiva Museum. The Karanjavan water supply scheme, funded with Rs 600 crores, will soon be operational. He also noted that the water supply scheme for Nandgaon is in progress. Bapusaheb Kawade also shared his thoughts on the occasion.
A musical program was organized during the event, featuring performances by singer, director, and composer Avadhun Gupte, Swapnil Bandodkar, and singer Vaishali Samant. Guardian Minister Dadaji Bhuse expressed his gratitude for the event.
About the Shiva Srishti Project
The Shiva Srishti project was initiated following MLA Suhas Kande’s request for a modern memorial for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Nandgaon. The project is being developed on a one-hectare plot owned by the Public Works Department along the Chandwad-Manmad-Nandgaon-Chalisgaon Jalgaon road (National Highway No. 753). Under the Regional Tourism Development Plan and the District Annual Plan, a total expenditure of Rs 12 crores has been allocated for four phases of the project. Technical approvals and the tender process have been completed, with Rs 7 crores worth of work already finished. The project features a mini theater, amphitheater, exhibitions on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, fountains, and more. Chief Minister Shinde inspected the project and expressed his satisfaction.
