Deepotsav 2024

Ayodhya – For the past seven years, the Yogi government has been organizing a grand Deepotsav in Ayodhya, setting records in the Guinness Book. This year’s eighth Deepotsav aims to surpass all previous celebrations, with preparations underway to make it the most magnificent yet. The Ayodhya district administration is working tirelessly to ensure the event is memorable. The Deepotsav has become a unique event, gaining recognition not only across India but worldwide, attracting visitors from various countries.

Commissioner Gaurav Dayal shared that extensive preparations are being made to make every program at the Deepotsav special. The city will be decorated with various lighting displays, featuring 18 tableaux based on significant episodes from Lord Ram’s life. Of these, 11 will be presented by the Information Department and seven by the Tourism Department.

The tableaux will depict events such as:

• Ram’s education
• Sita-Ram marriage
• Ram’s journey to the forest
• Bharat Milap
• Shabari episode
• Ashok Vatika
• Hanuman’s journey to Lanka
• Lakshman’s injury by Shaktiban
• Ravan’s defeat
• Ram’s return to Ayodhya and Deepotsav celebration

Preparations have already begun to decorate the tableaux on trucks.

Additionally, there will be 18 tableaux depicting episodes from the Ram Charit Manas at Saket College. These include seven tableaux by the Tourism Department, representing the seven chapters of the Ram Charit Manas: Bal Kand, Ayodhya Kand, Aranya Kand, Sundar Kand, Kishkindha Kand, Lanka Kand, and Uttar Kand.
