Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M. K. Stalin, announces 6 new projects!
In a spectacular achievement, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M. K. Stalin, during his two-day tour of Kallakkurichi district, participated in field inspections. On the second day, at a ceremony for the foundation stone laying for the “Thanmathi Vabariyar Library and Science Laboratory” with an allocation of ₹300 crores, he announced 6 important projects for the development of Kallakkurichi district.
These announcements marked a significant achievement for the Chief Minister, Thiru M. K. Stalin. The six new projects are as follows:
- In the Kurichi Sidkakaval area of Kallakkurichi, a park will be built with an investment of ₹126 crores. This park will host a NABL-accredited laboratory for agricultural and size-based experiments. The lab is expected to generate approximately 2,000 jobs directly and around 1,500 jobs indirectly.
- A technological industrial hub will be set up in Kallakkurichi in collaboration with private technological companies, and the project will be supported by Tamil scholars. It is expected to provide employment opportunities for around 36,000 people in the area. This industrial complex will span over three million square feet and will significantly contribute to the future development of Kallakkurichi.
- The ongoing work of the Kambai Cauvery Project, which was launched during the previous administration, will be completed. This includes the elevation of the project from Siniyampavalyam to Neelampur over a stretch of 5 km with an investment of ₹600 crores.
- To prevent wildlife-human conflicts in the Sathandamuthur area, a 10-km-long wildlife barrier will be constructed with an investment of ₹7 crores. This initiative will help in reducing crop damage and protect lives.
- A water supply project for 38 villages in Kattur, Kadavadhakaran Pudur, and Udayakulam will be implemented at a cost of ₹26 crores. Similarly, a joint drinking water project will be implemented for 295 villages in the Suballachi area, with an investment of ₹51 crores.
- Following the Chief Minister’s fieldwork, an exclusive scheme with an estimated value of ₹200 crores will be implemented for the restoration of the Kallakkurichi city water systems. This will include repairs to damaged pipelines, installation of sewage systems, and enhancement of the city’s infrastructure.
