Agricultural Fair Concludes in Sangod – Energy Minister Urges Adoption of New Technology; Farmers Receive Comprehensive Agricultural Guidance Under One Roof
Jaipur : Under the joint aegis of Kota District Administration and the Agriculture Department, an agricultural fair was organized on Wednesday at the Agricultural Produce Market in Sangod. The event aimed to popularize various public welfare schemes, new research, and innovative measures of the Agriculture Department among farmers and stakeholders. Energy Minister Shri Hiralal Nagar graced the event as the chief guest and motivated farmers and stakeholders to reduce the excessive use of chemical fertilizers, adopt modern techniques like Nano Urea and Nano DAP, and embrace the latest technologies introduced by the Agriculture Department.
The Energy Minister appealed to farmers to promote high-yield crop varieties and adopt water-saving methods like sprinkler irrigation and drip irrigation. He also instructed Agriculture Department officials to ensure that the latest research and techniques, particularly those related to the district’s key crops like soybean, garlic, and chickpea, reach as many farmers as possible. The Minister assured farmers that they would be provided with six hours of daytime electricity within the next two years and directed efforts to promote and utilize solar energy extensively.
Joint Director of Agriculture Extension, Ravindra Kumar Jain, stated that the fair provided information on departmental schemes, agricultural innovations, and institutional plans through various organizations, including the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Cooperation Department, Agricultural University, Kota, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Borkheda, Kota, Citrus Excellence Center, Nanta Farm, Kota, Rajeevika Department, NABARD, LDM, Agricultural Marketing Department, Rajasthan Seed Corporation, National Seed Corporation, IFFCO, KRIBHCO, Ramashantaya Organic Agriculture Research Center, Jakhoda, Kota, and Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, Gadepan, Kota.
Additionally, Durgesh Kumari, Director of Sharanagati FPO, conducted a live demonstration of spraying using drones, while a joint initiative by the Horticulture Department and a solar energy manufacturing company showcased a live demonstration of solar energy.
Rajeevika Self-Help Groups Receive ₹1.34 Crore Check—
The Energy Minister presented a loan distribution check to Rajeevika Self-Help Groups. A single group received ₹1 crore from the Central Bank of India, Awan, and eight groups received ₹34 lakh from Baroda Regional Rural Bank, Deoli.
