Deputy Chief Minister Mrs. Diya Kumari Conducts Surprise Inspections of Anganwadi Centers in Malviya Nagar and Ramnagariya

Jaipur : On Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Mrs. Diya Kumari conducted surprise inspections of the Anganwadi centers located in Ramnagariya’s Nandghar and Malviya Nagar’s Balmiki Basti. During her visit, Secretary of Women and Child Development, Mr. Mahendra Soni, and Director of Integrated Child Development Services, Mr. O.P. Bunkar, were present.

During the inspection of the Nandghar Anganwadi center in Ramnagariya, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed satisfaction upon observing the modern amenities, including a smart TV, well-equipped rooms, modern furniture, water machines, electricity and water connections, smooth operational arrangements, toilet facilities, playground, nutrition garden, pre-school activities like ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education), children’s growth monitoring tools, and nutrition gardens.

She also conducted a surprise inspection of the Anganwadi center in Balmiki Basti, Malviya Nagar, and directed officials to develop similar modern facilities as in the Nandghar Anganwadi center. She instructed the officials to equip and develop Anganwadi centers, including those in Balmiki Basti, with modern amenities and to improve the taste of supplementary food and THR (Take Home Rations) based on the feedback from women and children.

Mrs. Diya Kumari interacted with the children at the Anganwadi, offering them affection. The children recited poems and counted numbers, which encouraged the Deputy Chief Minister to praise them and boost their spirits. She also inquired about the supplementary food being provided to the children. Engaging with the children during their learning process through play, she communicated with them warmly and offered words of encouragement.

The Deputy Chief Minister inspected the kitchen of the Anganwadi center and directed the necessary improvements to ensure essential facilities in the kitchen. She also checked the toilet facilities and reviewed their operational status. She visited the nutrition garden adjacent to the Anganwadi center and provided further guidance.

Mrs. Diya Kumari also inquired about the use of the handwashing water machine at the Anganwadi. Before the children consumed their supplementary food, she ensured they washed their hands and took the opportunity to explain the importance of handwashing while also teaching them to conserve water.

She interacted with the pregnant and lactating women present at the Anganwadi center and gathered their feedback about the Prime Minister’s Matru Vandana Yojana and other services provided at the Anganwadi center. The women gave positive feedback, and they took photos and selfies with the Deputy Chief Minister.

Mrs. Diya Kumari expressed affection towards a lactating woman’s child, Radhe, and lovingly held the baby. The baby smiled happily while being held by the Deputy Chief Minister.

Praise for Anganwadi Worker Maya
The Deputy Chief Minister also praised Anganwadi worker Mrs. Maya, learning about the various activities being conducted at the Anganwadi center and observing the live operation of the nutrition tracker.

Mrs. Diya Kumari expressed satisfaction after gathering detailed information about all the schemes and services being operated for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers at the Anganwadi center. She praised Anganwadi worker Mrs. Maya for her excellent work and instructed the officials to honor her for her good efforts.
