Strict action on illegal transportation of soil, gravel and sand
The district administration of Manguli is continuing its campaign of crackdown and strict action against illegal excavation, storage and transportation of minerals in the district. On Friday, five vehicles were seized in the case of illegal transportation of soil, gravel and sand.
District Mineral Officer Mrs. Jyoti Mishra said that during the morning operation, two vehicles have been handed over to Jarhagaon Mungeli Police Station. In these, vehicle number CG 10 R 0491 (driver Vikas Kumar Sahu) and vehicle number CG 11 AG 0749 (driver Sunil Kumar) were illegally transporting gravel and sand.
Apart from this, three other vehicles were seized in a joint operation by the Mineral and Revenue Department. These vehicles have been kept under the protection of the protected center, Police Line Mungeli. These vehicles numbered CG 28 H 3430 (driver Karan Yadav), CG 22 AB 3446 (driver Vijay Sahu), and CG 07 AV 2935 (driver Rajkumar Yadav) were illegally transporting soil and gravel.
Action is being taken against all the seized vehicles as per the provisions of the Mineral Act. This strict action of the district administration is being taken with the aim of strictly banning illegal exploitation and transportation of minerals. Collector Shri Rahul Dev has strictly warned the people involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals that strict legal action will be taken if found involved in such activities. He has appealed to the general public to inform the district administration about illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
