First Delivery Takes Place at Central Hospital of Mahakumbh

A woman gives birth to a baby boy at the temporary hospital located in the Parade area of Mahakumbh Mela.

After a safe delivery, the mother and baby were shifted to Swaroop Rani Medical College.

Mahakumbhnagar : On Sunday, doctors at the Central Hospital of Mahakumbhnagar successfully conducted the first delivery. Under the leadership of Dr. Gaurav Dubey, a team of three doctors performed the delivery. Dr. Gaurav Dubey, the Nodal Medical Officer of Mahakumbh Mela, stated that this marks the first birth at the Central Hospital in Mahakumbhnagar. A 20-year-old woman named Sonam gave birth to a baby boy. According to the doctors, the baby weighs 2.4 kg.

The successful delivery was conducted by Dr. Gaurav Dubey, along with Dr. Nupur and Dr. Vartika. Both the mother and baby are healthy. They have been transferred from the Central Hospital to Swaroop Rani Medical College via a safe ambulance.

Notably, for the first time, a delivery facility has been provided at the temporary hospital established in the Parade area of the Mahakumbh Mela. A dedicated labor room has also been set up here.
