Grants for Special Assistance Schemes through ‘DBT’ System – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Review of Social Justice Department’s Work for the Next 100 Days
Mumbai : Various welfare schemes of the government provide relief to eligible destitute individuals in the state. However, to avoid delays in extending benefits to these individuals, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed that the financial assistance under the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana and the Shravanbal Seva Rajya Pension Scheme should be immediately transferred through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) portal.
The Chief Minister reviewed the Social Justice Department’s action plan for the next 100 days at the Sahyadri Guest House, where he issued these directives.
Chief Minister Fadnavis emphasized that the existing terms and conditions of schemes implemented by the department should be revised to ensure maximum beneficiaries can avail of the schemes. Immediate repairs should be carried out on government hostel buildings where necessary. It should also be ensured that students residing in hostels receive all amenities on time. The admission process for hostels and caste verification should be made online. Additionally, the portal for the Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana should be launched at the earliest. A standardized SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) should be prepared for all corporations under the department, Chief Minister Fadnavis directed.
The meeting was attended by Tribal Development Minister Ashok Uike, Social Justice Minister Sanjay Shirsat, Minister of State for Social Justice Madhuri Misal, Minister of State for Water Supply and Sanitation Meghana Bordikar, Minister of State for Cooperation Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, Minister of State for Tribal Development Indranil Naik, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary Rajgopal Deora, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashwini Bhide, Principal Secretary Sanjay Khandare, Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi, and Secretaries Vijay Waghmare of the Social Justice and Tribal Development Department, along with other senior officials.
