On the First Day of the New Year, Meetings and Reviews by the DCM at the Secretariat
Mumbai : On the first day of the new year, through meetings held at the Secretariat, DCM Eknath Shinde extended his New Year wishes to the people of the state in a unique way. The Chief Minister signed files from various departments, including the Deputy Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund and Health, and completed the necessary paperwork. During this time, the newly appointed Chief Secretary, Dr. Nitin Karir, met with the Deputy Chief Minister. Secretariat officers also extended New Year wishes to the Chief Minister.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Shinde, consistently demonstrates through his actions that the government is taking swift decisions for the welfare of the general public and is ensuring their effective implementation. Today, he arrived at the Secretariat. Afterward, he held meetings with the secretaries of various departments in his office to review the ongoing schemes. He emphasized that the benefits of the government schemes should reach every last citizen of the state. The Deputy Chief Minister also stated that the implementation of decisions taken by the state government should be done more effectively by the administration.
After completing the program in Thane, the Deputy Chief Minister departed for the Secretariat. Upon his arrival around 4 p.m., officials and staff met him to extend their wishes. The Additional Chief Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Bhushan Gagarani, and Principal Secretary Vikas Kharge offered a bouquet to wish the Deputy Chief Minister. Officers and staff from the Secretariat and the Ministry were present during the occasion.
During this time, newly appointed Chief Secretary Dr. Karir met with the Deputy Chief Minister and wished him. The Deputy Chief Minister took an overview of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the state. A review of preparations for the National Youth Festival to be held in Nashik on January 12 was also conducted. Additionally, a brief review of important projects in the state was taken. Following that, the Chief Minister signed files from various departments, including the Medical Assistance Fund and Health, marking the beginning of the new year. The meeting continued until late in the evening, with greetings and New Year wishes being exchanged.
