Chief Secretary’s Review Meeting: Serving the Common Man is a Primary Duty of Public Servants

Jaipur : Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant emphasized that the state government is committed to the overall development of Rajasthan and the delivery of excellent services to the public. He urged all officials to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication in line with the government’s vision and contribute to realizing the “Apno Agrani Rajasthan” initiative. He reiterated that addressing public grievances and providing relief is the primary duty of every public servant.

Shri Pant made these remarks on Thursday while addressing a review meeting of the Jodhpur Division at the Marwar International Center in Jodhpur. He noted that Marwar has a tradition of honoring officers who perform commendable work and encouraged all officials to serve with the aim of enhancing their reputation through their dedication.

He pointed out that Jodhpur Division, being geographically the largest and close to the international border, holds strategic importance. Police officials were directed to focus on law and order, internal security, and curbing activities such as drug and arms trafficking, as well as illegal mining. He urged them to remain on high alert and ensure robust security measures. Additionally, he emphasized taking sensitive action in cases of communal tension and adopting measures to maintain peace.

Monitoring Cyber Threats

The Chief Secretary stressed the need for strict monitoring of cybercrimes in the border areas. He suggested training police officers in technical skills and ensuring thorough investigations and necessary actions in such cases.

Discussion Points

During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on several key issues, including:

  • Pending mutation cases and decisions related to government land (district-wise status)
  • Online land conversion percentages and the average time taken
  • Implementation status of MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan event
  • Average time for file disposal in government offices
  • Employee registration and training under the iGOT Karmayogi Mission
  • Progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission
  • Status of pending land acquisition cases
  • Land allocation for projects announced in the 2024 State Budget
  • Progress of the TB-Free India campaign
  • Revenue collection, health services, regular inspections, and the district-wise progress of the Rajasthan Sampark Portal, Panch Gaurav, and Govardhan Projects.

The Chief Secretary directed all district collectors to continuously monitor the implementation of MoUs and maintain regular communication with investors to ensure their execution. He emphasized providing investors with all necessary facilities as per the rules and resolving land allocation cases on priority within a stipulated timeline. He instructed that progress on MoUs, categorized into three groups, be reviewed monthly.

Jal Jeevan Mission

Reviewing the Jal Jeevan Mission, Shri Pant directed officials to ensure the timely and quality completion of projects. He stressed conducting surprise inspections and taking strict action against illegal connections and water theft. Public grievances related to drinking water should be resolved on priority, and the FHTC (Functional Household Tap Connection) targets must be achieved within the deadline.

Timely Resolution of Land Cases

The Chief Secretary emphasized the need for prompt resolution of pending land-related cases. He reviewed district-wise progress on decisions related to government land, online land conversion, and the average time taken for these processes. Officials were instructed to prioritize and regularly monitor land allocation cases.

He further directed officials to give top priority to grievances on the Rajasthan Sampark Portal and ensure their timely resolution to provide relief to the public. District officials were advised to dedicate at least 30 minutes daily to the portal and make efforts to satisfactorily address the grievances.

Focus on Training and Skill Development

Shri Pant stressed the importance of training under the Karmayogi Mission, encouraging employees to enhance their capabilities and embrace new learning opportunities.

He directed district collectors in the Jodhpur Division to ensure the timely implementation of budget announcements and prioritize activities such as land allocation, administrative and financial approvals, tender invitations, and work orders. He emphasized completing all tasks from the current budget cycle before the next budget is announced.

The Chief Secretary urged officials to continuously improve their performance, demonstrate leadership skills, and bring positive changes to their departments. He encouraged them to deliver their best daily and praised Jodhpur District Collector Shri Gaurav Agrawal for his exemplary work.

The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pratibha Singh, Jodhpur Range IG Shri Vikas Kumar, Jodhpur District Collector Shri Gaurav Agrawal, and senior officers from various departments, including police superintendents and district collectors from Pali, Sirohi, Phalodi, Jalore, Balotra, and other regions of the division.
